The more absurd thing is, despite the very recent surge in car prices, the overall price of cars throughout history hasn’t kept up with inflation, which really brings the wage stagnation conversation into the spotlight.

I think when he refers to core demo, he refers to the wealthier than average tech Tesla fan bois who buy Tesla’s for status symbols.  The “status” of a Tesla continues to shrink to nothing as prices drop and the average poors can now afford a Tesla.

I’m asking for it because I trust none of you to be remotely capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.

Don’t you get tired of having the exact same argument/conversation in every comment section about AV’s?

Like any new technology, it starts at the top down, just like adaptive cruise control did.

American’s aren’t willing to sacrifice their freedom, not matter how many lives it costs.  Just ask all the dead people from our mass shootings... oh wait, you can’t.

I totally agree. Super Cruise isn’t self driving, it’s advanced driver assist. And yes, it requires the user to be responsible, which I don’t trust most people to be.

Super Cruise is GM’s hands off driver assistance.  It’s been great.  Get it to your cruising speed on a mapped highway, click the button and hands off.  The EUV drives itself, even in stop and go.  The EUV doesn’t have the second generation of SC, so it can’t do lane change, but the newer version does.  And it can tow.

IMO the real issue here is consumer expectations. There is no middle ground for autonomous technology to live in in most peoples minds. Either we scrap it entirely, or we don’t do anything with it until it’s 100% bulletproof. Anything that lands in the middle is publicly considered a disaster.

I wouldn’t either, that would a different waste of resources.

Until recently, I lived in the same area as you (yes, I know this from past comments/discussions we’ve had). I replaced my snowblower with an Ego electric and had exactly zero problems handling the snow in the area. I had a pretty standard single story ranch with a long driveway that connects to a detached garage in

Don’t patronize me. I understand the history of union busting. What I don’t understand is why you’ve gone so far as to say today’s OEM’s would use the police to union bust when there has been no evidence of that occurring in this strike, and did not occur during the last strike in 2019 at GM.

What does this even mean?  The automakers haven’t done anything to violently break up the protests.

Even though 233 miles of range is more than enough for 99.9% of people’s needs, it’s not nearly enough for a starting price of $59k.  Anything under 300 miles is considered a non-starter for most customers.

I still don’t understand why, in this particular instance, both the president AND the former president feel like they need to “show up” for the striking workers. Trump was staunchly anti worker, and Biden has been wildly inconsistent in his messaging/actions regarding unions.

I still stand by my opinion that shoppers for delivery/pick up orders should only be allowed in the stores at times specifically dedicated for them.  The nature of their jobs drives them to be rude/inconsiderate of everyone else in the name of speed.

I love that you think that there is an employee in the store at all times who is simply waiting for the parking lot to fill up with empty carts so they can run out there and retrieve them.

I can tell you living in Metro Detroit that, although the UAW “traditionally” votes Democrat, that hasn’t been the case in the last election.  I obviously don’t know the percentage, but a strong amount (especially those living in Macomb) voted Trump.
