I’d be curious what percentage of EV owners have actually used public charging.  I have a Bolt EUV, and I have never used a public charger.

The most interesting part of this entire article is that there was actually a police officer on the highway.  The Southfield is an absolute nightmare to drive down unless you’re a psychopath.

Millennial here. I feel the same way about grocery delivery (which I’ve never done) as I do about food delivery. I abhor them all, and for a multitude of reasons. They create shitty low paying jobs. The shitty low pay for the workers means they’re always in a rush, which means they think they are the most important

I dunno man. The percentage of white collar workers in America who still think they should be forever thankful to corporations for simply employing them (let alone giving them raises) is still way too high. I think the last downturn in 2008 broke a lot of people, and many are still deathly afraid of losing their job

I’ll one up you on this.  My last boss said we should be happy with 3% because “the company doesn’t reduce your salary when inflation goes negative”.

All we have to do is wait for the subscription that brings all the subscription services together and charges one low price each month!

Can confirm. Had a 1995 Grand Prix. The only thing that was able to kill it was a semi truck rear ending me at 50 mph. The car saved my life, and still ran after being hit... just wasn’t worth getting all the work done to fix it.

Corporate America.  It was a risk transfer.  Why hold the risk of a pension running out of money on the books of a corporation when you can transfer all the risk to the individual employee?  (not that I agree.  I wish I had a pension instead of having to gamble my possibility of retirement on a legalized casino)

It’s just another gimmick that the “look at me” Tesla drivers can “show off”.

I recently moved from the Detroit area to the Dallas area, the home of the pick up truck. I am a former pick up driver myself, but have switched to a Bolt EUV. It might just be in my head, but I’ve noticed a few times that dudes in pick ups are unnecessarily aggressive when driving around me. Cut offs, close passes,

They’ll have to differentiate some how. Sure, Ford might change the name of the Mach E for the next gen. But I think it works fine to have an electric Mustang simply called the Mustang, and it’s SUV counterpart called the Mustang Mach E. (to be fair, Mach E is a stupid name that doesn’t really mean anything in

Drop the name, rebadge the cars, redo all the marketing materials, etc.

Is there ever going to come a point where we collectively get over the whole “not a real Mustang” thing or are we just going to keep holding on to the “good old days” forever? There’s probably going to be a Camaro SUV, a Corvette SUV, a Charger SUV and on and on. Do we have to keep referring to them as “not the real

$120k for a truck that will exclusively be used to drive overly aggressive in traffic by some under talented bro-douche rocking an Affliction T-Shirt and a Punisher sticker in the rear window.

$120k starting price for a RAM?  LOL.

Yea. I had a piece added in my original post about how, in this one off case, driving to the police station would have almost certainly gotten this man killed. I was trying to avoid dragging your post into those kinds of conversations.

Drive straight to the nearest police station if possible.

Finally, don’t blast music or have loud speakerphone/video chat conversations in this congested area. Nobody needs to know that much about you, whether it’s your family tea or your musical taste (or lack thereof).

I don’t think he believes anything he says.  His only purpose is to further drive a narrative to his base to keep them riled up.  He wants people to continue to disavow the foundational pillars that keep the country propped up.  It’s the only way he can “win”.

How do you come to the conclusion that GM will be behind “when all the dust settles”?
