Not trying to back tesla here, but genuinely curious what the outcome would be if you did a similar test on the Mercedes. Have you experienced anything with a breakable object being so close to the top of the trunk by the hinge? 

I think almost all trunks, automatic or not, would end in this result. He's so close to the pivot point, I feel like any sensor wouldn't detect this until it's too late. 

And IMO the company should stop being shady, that way any time something like this happens people don't say "yeah, I can see them doing that too."
