I don't get why flat earthers don't just shoot a rocket a mile up and blow it up with fireworks. If the earth is flat everyone will see it. Most economical way to get a straight true/false result.

Nah. So much of everything is propped up by horrendous processes and broken systems that don’t follow any standard process.

If it is check with your power company for replacement help. We got our Nest thermostat for free through rebates. They do that program where they can bump the thermostat up a few degrees on huge peak times, but they give you a good notice, pre-cool before, and you can override at any time (but other companies may vary)
