“I don’t like how it feels, so I’m not going to save a life. It doesn’t impact me.”

The problem with people is that if you can do something easy to save a life, but it’s not required, they won’t do it.

For all those who say that this jump is due to an increase in testing... That means the numbers have always been there, we just didn’t know the full scope. Continued measures are still needed in this case.

Do.... you not read the news? And what’s better.... buying a bodycam and nothing happens, or someone falsely accuses you of a crime and you don’t have one? This is absolutely legitimate for people participating in truly peaceful protest.

For large amounts like that they can easily call the issuing bank and verify the funds are available at that time (I’ve received that call at work). Although we give the disclosure that the funds are available at this time and it’s not a guarantee that they will be when the check is presented back to us for redemption.

A few years ago I deposited a check at my local credit union by ATM. It scanned the check, verified the details (assuming with OCR) and put the money in my account right away. Online I could see the scan of the check.

I once saw someone print their own check at home, gave the routing number of some US treasury account, put their SSN as the account# on the MICR line, and wrote it to himself for $1 million. He said some online site said it was legal and would let him borrow from his social security.

There’s also a maximum difference that’s allowed. If one says $2 and the other says “two hundred thousand”, the bank will reject it.

Even if it’s not online you can ask them to pull the image for you if needed in a dispute.

For large checks make sure your signature matches what the bank has on file. Don’t get lazy and draw a squiggly line. As someone who worked in a department related to signature verification at a financial institution this WILL cause issues.

I down a coffee, grab my axe and then I’m out
I got a rage inside that’s making me shout
I get high on the fighting, you know?
Inside my heart feelin’ the Inferno!

I tried this today and honestly it gave me a nice emotional boost. Here I am, staring at this random guy from somewhere in the world. We’re both trying to just stare, then it happened... I cracked a tiny smile, he smiled a bit more, and then we were both trying to hide our huge smiles.

For you trekkies out there I recommend @realGulDukat. Found this goldmine yesterday. He reposts all of Trump’s tweets, but with a trek twist...

Hey! I take. objection to your? statement on faking it. With; periods.

Was enjoying reading the lively conversation, then the dreaded “OK boomer” came out. No need for that. As a millennial nothing drives me crazy more than this phrase.

Still rocking the $200 other brand scooter I bought at Target 20 years ago. Was my first big purchase when I first started working. Replaced the batteries for $40 a few weeks ago and got an 8 mile ride in last weekend. Give me chonky but full batteries over a slim scooter any day!

Keeping mine turned on with Android. When I hit the button to turn on my phone I get the chance to enter my passcode instantly while it scans, so there’s no added presses or steps. Half the time it unlocks before I can enter my code anyway, but with the mask on it will just be tapping as usual.

The 6ft is an additional rule on top of not standing in crowds. Imagine squirting a mist from a water bottle on a windy day on that beach... how many people would feel droplets? Now imagine a bottle being sprayed every time one single person coughs.

Hey now, they’re just exercising their freedom. Their freedom to infect my parents with multiple underlying issues that make them susceptible to COVID-19.

But a lot more times it IS their fault. I basically wait a month to install any updates and check the news first.
