I disagree, actually. You should request the total cost. If they send you bullshit, and then when you go to sign the paperwork the total cost works out to $2,000 more than they told you, you should tell them “You told me the total price was X, not X+2000. If you can’t deliver it at that total price, I’m leaving.”
