Personally, I prefer that they don't bring up the iPad at all. I don't want iOS anything (it's just not for me), and inevetibly, iPad comparisons on Giz turn a review of Device X into "you should really get an iPad" instead of a review of the item in question.

This is exactly what I use foursquare for year-round. I'm 33, and at this stage of me & my friends' lives, it's difficult getting together. It's great for figuring out if someone is still working, out at the bar, etc. And, at least in my experience, far more people use it than Latitude.

I have, on multiple occasions, put liquor in a "heavy duty" freezer bag, rolled it up, stuffed it into my pants, and smuggled it into the venue. Once, at a Kid Cudi show in which I was on the floor, I drank directly from the bag.

I'm an Android fanboy, and I voted for the iPad and iPhone. Being intellectually honest, they're going to "matter" in six months to a year, and they absolutely have to be in the top 5.

I have to produce the same item under different SKUs for each retailer, so I'm all too aware of that nonsense. Generally speaking, it's done to prevent price comparing/price matching, but I have no doubts that Best Buy plays especially fast and loose with it.

I'm the production manager for a toy company who does most of their business online during the holidays. The core group that manages online item supply has been together five years, and we meet and work diligently to ensure that we don't have these same kinds of problems.

I rode 20mi/day in NE Ohio winters last year. The only essentials, in my experience, are (1) high quality light, (2) a good jacket (I recommend Gore Bike Wear), (3) wool long underwear, and (4) a huge pair of stones.

To me, the ad seems to be taking advantage of the fact that the 4S was "evolutionary" rather than "revolutionary". It's easy to explain away in retrospect (and in light of the sales numbers), but there was a palpable disappointment that the new iPhone wasn't a "5".

Maybe it's just me, but the value of the Fire will be indeterminable until we find out if it can be rooted/ if custom ROMS like CM will be supported.

i definitely prefer to be texted; but i understand that some situations are better suited for a phone call.

My cat once "got" me so viciously while giving her a bath that I saw blood all over and thought I'd somehow hurt her, only to realize it was my hand was pouring blood. Since, I've taken her by the nape of the neck when I've had to do something she won't like but needs done (like ear medicine).

I'm a TMO customer, and frustrated the 4.3 will be unavailable to me. I understand.

I'm disappointed that Universal's financials weren't hacked/released.

Businesses tend to focus on growth, as that's what drives the stock price up and gets executives bonuses. Frequently, businesses make choices that are great for short-term growth at the cost long-term profitability.

Agreed. I use GO contacts, GOSMS and GO dialer. I do prefer Launcher Pro, but the GO launcher app is still excellent.

I got the version that was free on the Amazon app store, made myself try it for a few days, and despised it. From Ortiz's comment, though, I might not have used it long enough for it to "work".

If *every* Android handset came completely stock, got near-instantaneous OS updates, and contained zero bloatware, a locked bootloader wouldn't influence my decision in the slightest.

Exactly. I'm on Android, but my friend puts singles and mixtapes in my Dropbox all the time while I'm at work, and I listen to them as soon as they're uploaded via my Galaxy S.

While this is patently ridiculous, it's almost certainly a demand of the carriers. In the age of "perfect market information" (the internet), this is a move to obscure customers from comparing "apples to apples". If the carriers all have the same phone (eg, Galaxy S II), they're forced to compete on the relative

Onscreen text has worked fine with video games for years, in far worse resolutions. I agree it doesn't look great in the pic, but I can't imagine it being an issue.
