The Streets' song "Can't Con an Honest John" is an ode to this exact kind of con.
@boyracer: I wasn't aware of Menupages and checked it out. It's almost exactly what I'd want, only on BB and with coverage of my area.
@MaaseyRacer: This is so close to my "wishlist" it's scary. Hoping my xmas bonus is enough to put me "over the top" for a Tarmac.
@vinod1978: This makes so much more sense. Thanks man, I didn't realize what I was missing, but that was it.
Do I fundamentally misunderstand what push notifications are? My BB has always notified me of new @s and dms within the twitter app as it happens.
@gaiking: I'd settle for pricing details for the Playbook. If it's going to be competitive price-wise with the iPad, I'm willing to wait.
@Improbable: I'm using the (admittedly) lowly Curve. It's just a "placeholder" until I can find an unlocked Torch.
(disclaimer: I'm not a phone gamer)
@ManicSockpuppet: That's precisely what's preventing my interest in motion-controller tech.
@tick tock the clock rocks roosters: My original Magsafe frayed (2nd gen MBP) and totally failed. Despite my ill-advised attempts to "splice" it back together, I had to purchase a new one.
The best bet is "something everyone on your news feed will be bitching about for the next week".
@Gimmi Mørgäikkönën: I got this for my birthday, and cried pure joy.
No love for Blackberry?
@Kat Hannaford: It's relatively new, but I've been using Blaq for my Blackberry Twitter needs. I like it so much, I find myself using Twitter on my phone almost exclusively.
@vinterchaos: I also despise T9. It's difficult for me to explain, but my brain just doesn't work "that way"... it's as if I feel "disconnected" from the keyboard.
Just thinking about this a little more...
@Akio Morita: Agreed. From the title, it sounds like they're actively censoring user-to-user text messages. But really, it's more akin to deciding which (opt-in) ads they're going to deliver.
@Daetaga: This is the cross-platform BBM app: [www.kik.com]
@Berzerk: I'm a BBM stalwart, and now that I've discovered kik (which is basically a cross-platform BBM), I get the same "ugh, this?" feeling I get when people call to provide information a text could have.
