The least believable part of that was his accent.

Not applying for unemployment benefits the first three times I was laid off. The amount of paperwork involved when filing after my 4th layoff almost made me regret applying for unemployment benefits, though.
“Fokker” for me...
Not my story (I always have been and always will be socially awkward and nerdy), but when I was in high school one of my (male) classmates. He had been skinny and and grew so fast that he always seemed to be in highwaters during 9 & 10 grades, and wore glasses and braces—the full package. The Mean Girls were extra…
It’s like the flash mobs of pranks, and I am a participant!
May I ask how you found a flexible, work from home teaching job? I’m a teacher, and quit over the summer because I just couldn’t go back to the school I was in anymore, it was detrimental to my physical and mental health. I still want to work in education, just not in that district...
Good luck in court. I’m not a lawyer, but will the court accept video depositions from the family members who live far away? Also, does your nephew have a court-appointed guardian ad litem or court appointed lawyer? Here’s the link for my state, for example https://www.jud.ct.gov/family/gal_amc.htm
you could try asking the temp agency for a shorter-term assignment - let them know that you are very interested in a position with a longer recruitment timeline.
the last 4 weeks has been that for me...

I love Evernote, but I’m giving sketchnoting a try, so I for that I’m using the iPad app Notability. It also has a recording feature, you can record the audio while typing/writing your notes.
I love Evernote. My favorite feature is the Optical Character Recognition. You can take a photo of handwritten notes, then later search for a phrase or word to find the note again (if, like me, you have so many notes you can’t remember which is which)
Um, for folks who don’t want to order anything, anywhere, but want free wifi? Go to the public library!
That is British actor Sir John Mills and wife, daughters Hayley Mills (original Parent Trap and other Disney movies; Passions, and Saved by the Bell) and Juliet Mills (Nanny and the Professor), son director Jonathan Mills, and I think the youngest is grandson Crispin.

Once downloaded, you have the audiobooks forever, or until you delete them. There are 2 titles available each week (new titles appear on Thursday), you have that week to download them. (I downloaded an audiobook from this program 2 years ago and still have it on my phone)
Just to clarify: participants have one week to download that week’s pair of audiobooks, but you can keep them on your device forever (or util you need to free up storage space). Also, the week “starts” on Thursdays, so you could actually download 4 audiobooks this calendar week.
so sorry for the kitties, but at least for a little while, they were in a place where they were fed and cared for.
