You make some great points here. Warhol was very gendered in what he considered to be female beauty. He is rightly regarded as being a great artistic visionary and important for queer representation, but that doesn’t mean he was without flaws.

I think it’s a matter that they want to automate everything, because, heaven forbid, they might have to pay people to create something. Not because of machines being better at it, but out of pure cheapness. Recycling past works and barfing them out through an algorithm will more than likely lead to a blander and more

Thems be the worst.

By allowing and/or encouraging the removal of a symbol of equality for the downtrodden, it says that the symbol and those associated to it are a nuisance, unwanted, and discardable. And in our current rightwing radicalization of gamers, this is a terrible thing to allow.

That sounds like the tagline for a Cronenberg movie.

This is my kind of dumb.

Remember when Atari took an ethical stand by not getting into military contracts? Those were the days.

Hello fellow old school gamer, and I agree!

I am openminded to an extent, but submissively posed young women in the main image strikes me as being both crass and juvenile. There’s a bit of eating your cake and wanting to keep it too on this site that I do not like. We see many good articles exposing sexist and toxic workplaces, how difficult and weird things

I can’t wait for the Kotaku article about Kotaku being a problem.

The guy is a huge creep, and his weird dismissive attitude towards early film drives me nuts.

I agree with you on how poorly most women are depicted in video games, but regardless, he’s released only one game since leaving Konami, so it remains unknown how he will depict women going forward. If he and those he works with can grow and evolve, awesome.

I’m not sure Kojima and his games are really worth defending. Yes, he does take things from movies, but he’s not refining or improving on what he takes, instead they’re more stylistic in scope, and at best, perhaps a neat aesthetic. Take Snatcher which mainly combines Terminator with Blade Runner. The gore and nudity

It really saddened me what Square did to Parasite Eve with The Third Birthday. Like, I never understood the weird fan service for that character. She’s not some bimbo.

Honestly, games that do the declothing of a female character really grosses me out and keeps me from playing these kinds of games. I find it insulting to me, as I don’t need scantily clad characters to enjoy a game. Even as a teenager, I disliked this. Having this option makes me far more willing to give the game a try

That really does look interesting. There’s something about these early Playstation games where you can see this attempt to explore unusual styles of gameplay and stories. What I’d do for some of these games to get a late English release for the PS4 and PS5.

Only there’s no redemption for Light. Darth Vader had redemption.

Oh goody, he’ll murder another pantheon of gods.

That game is quite wonderful the first time through, though it sadly doesn’t merit much of a reason for more than that. It’s such a great proof of concept for creating games as randomized adventures. I can only imagine how much more interesting it will be should these devs or another one tries to create a larger

It was a mocking joke. That’s not how valid criticism works.
