not anymore, you’re not.
not anymore, you’re not.
THANK. YOU.
Agreed. Look at all of the famous actors that have worked with Polanski after his rape charges. Why isn’t anybody hounding Harrison Ford for working with him on Frantic? Or Hugh Grant on Bitter Moon? Everybody’s memory is apparently five minutes old and it’s always on women to explain why they made decisions that…
Well, I’m glad to see him doing something with his experience. It was funny to find out about his history at Marvel. He drew some serious beefcake dudes for one of their swimsuit issues. Hopefully this story... has wings.
“However, the arbitrator ruled that Brown’s racist comments were egregious and had no place in law enforcement and that the Manchester Police Department had properly applied a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to racist conduct,” the Manchester Police statement said. “Nevertheless, the arbitrator determined that Brown…
But I also have to say thank you to Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano, even if he ultimately loses this case in court he is sending the right message.
To what point? Crap like this creates a toxic culture. I don’t care about BA, that’s not the point. It’s not ok to kick someone when they are down, even if they have a lot of money and celebrity.
Lists of requirements and rubrics make sense. Posted rules make sense. If you want people to do a certain thing, you post rules specifying precisely what constitutes compliance, and then you incentivize that compliance.
I don’t mind the checklist. It gives studios an incentive to take action, and hopefully the paid internship/training will give more people chances at an entry into the industry.
Checklists are a good way to get people into a new habit. It is irksome to see everyone 90% of the worlds population reduced to a checkmark but hopefully it brings with it some new stories, new perspective and more representative talent in front of and behind the camera.
Here’s a thought: stop harassing the guy?
“ It really shouldn’t be hard for Hollywood productions to simply hire a broad range of people, and yet, it is.”
People go to the gym to lift heavy things and put them down again until their muscles burn, or to run/step/row until sweat pours from them, but wearing a mask is a bridge too far. Someone explain this mentality, please.
Yeah, doesn’t really seem right to me either but there’s some specific scenarios where people do it. Fried fish sandwiches (on occasion) and tuna melts come to mind.
As a person with taste buds, I too hope Taco Hell goes to hell.
as a Mexican person, I hope to see Taco Bell itself go under.
I get asked ‘how short are you’ quite often. My reply is ‘fuck off’ and then people laugh because I am just so darn adorable. :) I think Tall women have much worse and i don’t get the shade. People of extreme height should stick together against rude people. I do think taller women are worse off in a lot of ways.…
It always seems kind of weird to get those questions. My short friends are never asked how short they are or if they were involved in sports. I also hate when people ask why I wear high heals. My answer is usually ‘Why the fuck not?’ or ‘Have you seen these legs’ or, if I am feeling particularly saucy ‘Your insecurity…
I don’t get the snark about “tall people problems”. I’ve been 5’10” since I was in 7th grade and I am pretty self conscious about my height, even still, at 30. I can only imagine what it would be like being 6’1” or taller as a 16 year old girl. My mother is 6’0” and I was super nervous I would be too. Her sisters are…
