The unfortunate reality is that 99% of Idaho’s Republican representation is so morally bankrupt that they would have still passed these bills even if the entire world had been paying attention.

The problem with that POV is that birth certificates are tied to a number of identity documents, so if the sex recorded on it doesn’t match your lived gender, it can make it very difficult for trans individuals to get documentation that accurately reflects their gender identity.
