Eh, some of those people keep claiming universal pre-K is a DSA idea—when it’s something Clinton championed for a long time and even folks before. Pretty sure Elijah Cummings has long pushed for some sort of universal healthcare, but I often see Bernie given credit....

I’ll never forget those selfish, petulant assholes for booing John fucking Lewis, Elijah Cummings, and Michelle at the DNC—and Bernie for not calling those fuckers out for being disrespectful morons.

True. I’m already seeing rumblings of it towards Warren....a lot of “see, the attacks on Beto weren’t coordinated because we aren’t attacking Warren (ignoring that Beto polled way better than Warren)“....but also the same people tweeting a Guardian article that compared her and Bernie in favor of Bernie.

Lol

Yeah, I have to laugh at some of rose twitter claiming AOC or Bernie came up with universal pre-K (a Clinton idea).  Part of the issue is the media loves the “Dems in disarray/have no message” angle, and part of is that people are drawn to shiny things and “no college” is an easier sell than “well, we can help people

I think Klobuchar is one of the strongest possible candidates out there and could crush Trump—the far left will go hard after her for her ties to the ag industry (I mean, I like her for the most part but she fought to get pizza sauce declared as a vegetable...people are going to drag that sort of thing up).

Klobuchar/Castro or Klobuchar/Gillum could win the electoral college imo—plus, unlike Sherrod Brown, her replacement would be picked by a Democratic governor.

He, and others, keep talking about free college—which is not going to happen because students and faculty members aren’t going to be willing to shift to a German or French style university when they fully comprehend the loss of $$$ that go towards everything from athletics to research to even the amount of classes

I would like someone more progressive, but I’ve seen people argue that Hickenlooper is undervalued and would be a strong candidate. Popular former governor of a purple state who has managed to escape the mudslinging so far—and I do think the Bernie’s campaign of mudslinging that nearly everyone “corrupt” is going to

Betos’s great on immigration, very centrist on many other issues with his record despite taking a more progressive stance in the senate race. But he in no way is a conservative Dem—look at the problem solvers, for example. And I don’t even care for Beto (he’d make an okay figurehead VP, I suppose, but that’s it).

It wasn’t a trap, it was her just being dumb about racial issues. All she had to say was “I was told I had very distant Native American ancestry and DNA tests prove it, but it was wrong for me to claim to be Native American (instead of just commenting that i have distant ancestry) in the 80s...because it involves much

Semi-agree. Warren is a good potential candidate, but Bernie needs to step the fuck aside imo. Even if I liked him (and I really don’t like him at all), anyone associated with the toxic 2016 primary is going to carry/reignite way too many poisonous feelings. Plus, he and Biden (who won’t get over his Anita Hill past

I’m mostly neutral on AOC (she’s done some things I really like, and some things I haven’t liked), but the Justice Dems often act shitty and slung so much unnecessary mud at Sharice.

Jeff Weaver, imo, is the root of a lot of Bernie’s problems (and I say this as someone who used to formerly support Bernie but now can’t stand him). And yes, this definitely seems like it is mostly on Weaver.

This will make me hypocritical as fuck because I dislike speculating about people’s sexuality (e.g. snickering and trying to force folks out of the closet is fucked up imo, and people need to be able to make their own choice on when to come out as gay/bi/etc.)....but I seriously think Drake and Kim had an affair, and

Well, apparently Sherrod is going to meet with Obama and supposedly he gets along with well with Biden, too. If Biden drops out (and I suspect he will if he’s smart) and endorses Sherrod, that would be really interesting as Biden is polling way in front of everyone else for the most part and potential Biden voters

Oh yeah, for sure he does have a fair amount of younger POC followers (a couple of my cousins are some of them)—but some of the twitter accounts claiming to be “fans” that interact with journalists make me raise an eyebrow and wonder if they are fake and/or a bot of some sorts.

I feel like you and I have a similar viewpoint on how to look at politicians: focus on a politicians policies/stances/record, contextualize/view politics with some nuance, and fairly critique folks instead of straight up mudslinging.

Sherrod Brown is starting to come for Bernie—went after how he didn’t like the term “white working class” (which Bernie has used) and that people need to address all of the working class.

Sirota got fired back in the day for creating a racist website during the Dwight Evans and John White Jr. mayoral campaign. I’ve seen people point it out, but white folks go “well, Evans and White Jr. were both Black, so how can it be racist” (smh). The website made it look like White Jr. was threatening white voters.
