The trailer was identical to probably 90% of D&D campaigns I have been in, regardless of the makeup of the groups in gender, sexuality, age, etc. 

I also grew up in North Louisiana in the 80s. Is was in the north-east, the Winnsboro/Monroe areas in the 80s. Cool to see someone who also waded through the panic within a similar geography!

A great read, thanks for the perspective! I felt that there have beeen several female characters (Padmé, a fave of mine) who because of their mistakes or failures end up being ignored as interesting or compelling characters. But I thought their journeys were just as important as those who “won the day.”

I recommend listening to the “Improvised Star Trek”. Similar to what you’ve described, and it’s been going strong for a few years now. Might be worth a listen.

I loved the relationship and the actor, so “we” doesn’t fit as a headline. Hurray for him still in the picture.

With increased diversity on and off camera, an ever expanding mythos in comic, book, game form, and a Producer (Kennedy) who has spear-headed some of the best changes to the franchise (and has one of the most successful track-records in all of modern film history), I’m truly scratching my head why commenters are
