Just a clarification, but the charts were for herpes prevelance of Black people between the ages of 14-49. Not ALL Black people.

Shoot out to Illtown all day, but damn Aliya this article was kinda wack. You just compared 3 alleged criminals with a guy who may/ or may not have cheated on his wife. Slow news day much?!?

What am I supposed to do?
This was really a fucked up story of self rationalizations. I mean, really? Come on. You would of been better off leaving this article in the bin.
I’m surprised not to see “when Trump wouldn’t let him meet the Pope when that was all he wanted in life” on the list of “things we were sure he would resign over.”
Are you serious? Do you not know how the hive works? even if you not part of the hive you are going to know about these things.
For one thing, the residency programs I talked with were ironically very against their residents taking maternity leave.
Not the original poster that you replied to, but when I did my Ob/Gyn rotation (I am a male) the residents, who were almost exclusively female, were exclusionary to all of the rotating medical students. We would often find them giving lectures or teaching the female residents after we had been assigned to go round on…
Look at the number of obstetrics-related malpractice suits. Look at the causes of action and settlement values/awards. Look at the overhead involved in on/gyn practices. No mystery.
My mom is an OB-Gyn that graduated from the American University of Beirut. Her classmates at medical school were mostly men who said they didn’t want to go into that field because they were told that most women wouldn’t want to be examined by them. She assumed it was just a cultural thing until she came to the States…
It sounds like an unreasonable fear, but this very scenario has happened before.
I never realized how American I am until I got into a debate about the face veil with some European friends. I feel very strongly that people should be free to express their religious beliefs however they choose, even if I fundamentally disagree with their views. My liberal European friends feel just as strongly…
Mate it’s the UK. If you can’t handle the 51 weeks of pissing rainstorms unaided then you’re in the wrong fucking country.
There’s nothing racist or anti-Muslim about that. Face veiling is a choice, not a necessity to be Muslim. It’s like if they told a Christian parent, “Yeah, we know you like to drag a huge cross around wherever you go as a sign of your faith and proof of your devotion but, we’re not having that on school grounds.”
The school administration’s responsibility for the safety of their students does, I think, reasonably includes precluding unidentifiable, masked people from poking around school grounds... If your face is covered, how is the school supposed to identify you, and make sure some stranger isn’t pick up your kids?
Yeah while the conversation can be about whether blanket clothing bans are good or not in this case this isn’t to do with Islam but rather the wider issue of secularism vs freedom of religion with some straying into the issue of criminal investigation.
Not really. In complete opposite of the US, where you have no state religion but push Christianity like hell, we have a state religion but making sure workplaces are largely secular is very popular so the banning of all iconography is designed to make sure no religion is being promoted and no one feels pressured to be…
Actually there is precedent for bans of head coverings in UK society, with the early 2000s well known for stores up and down the country banning hoodies.
You’re at work, do your job. If you want to make a statement do it on your own time. When all these service jobs are automated it’s going to be problematic.
