My wife and I always laughed at when Rose got to Heaven, she just went straight for Jack and ignored the husband she made a life with?

My grandparents having sex in the next room means the zombie apocalypse is real.

I don’t know, but it does happen, like this time in recent memory:

After looking it over, I’d say that yes, Arsenic and Old Lace popularized the concept of angel of mercy. Those aunts were inspired by the very real Amy Archer Gilligan, who poisoned as many as 50 patients, although she wasn’t a nurse. This was in 1917, Jane Toppans trial was in the early 1900s. Those two cases were

I think Hawley knows having the avatar of ultimate good be a cop doesn't jell well with the current climate.  Also it makes this season more unique to have the law not be shown in a positive light.

The trouble with Chekhov’s gun (beyond being wildly over-referenced in general) is that itis often taken as meaning “If a gun goes off in the third act, it needs to have been introduced in the first act” by amateur online movie experts complaining that things “weren’t properly introduced.”

I agree re: Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum. That scene after the big final battle when they are both swaggering back smoking cigars was . . . I dunno, but I still think about it from time to time. They were magic together. I even misread the line in the review talking about megawatt charisma as being about Goldblum,

When Dr. Oz won’t sign on, you know it’s a shitty con job.

I’d even go a few steps further and say Biden did better than fine. He largely starved Trump of oxygen and spent most of the debate talking to the camera while Trump glared at him like a deranged bulldog.

All of this inane chatter about the debate means nothing. We know that Trump is down in nearly every swing state, so the only question we need to ask is whether last night helped him in any way change the momentum of the race or claw back undecided voters. And if you watched more than 30 seconds of the debate you’ll

What?! Harold and Maude is the greatest love story of our time!

My first Diana Rigg exposure was “The Great Muppet Caper.”

And like Zack Snyder’s superman, he’s painfully boring and helped put in motion the deaths of tens of thousands

Very gracious of Boat not to mention the time his tweet was mistaken for a genuine Orwell quote by.... The Guardian.

I think to kill her off would be too great of a stretch, given what we know later about Saul in Breaking Bad. He never shows a hint of experiencing loss or tragedy, and I don’t know how they’d retcon that and make it resolve with his character arc.

My personal theory (which I’ve shared on here before) is that Jimmy winds up reconnecting with her in (or near) Omaha after the events of Breaking Bad. Omaha is 3 hours away from where she grew up (Red Cloud, Nebraska), seems a bit too coincidental that he’d wind up managing a Cinnabon in Omaha, which is not far from

Ozzy’s exile didn’t happen in the comics. The entire series is set decades after the end of the graphic novel. All we have is a few of the characters recycled into a new story line.

I generally agree with you on Seinfeld, but in this instance his statement is better than Altucher’s dumbass statement- it’s completely dead. “But NYC always always bounces back.” No. Not this time. “But NYC is the center of the financial universe. Opportunities will flourish here again.” Not this time.”

Wikipedia lists the disasters portrayed in the film as ‘power failures crippling the entire Eastern seaboard, computers unlocking all doors in a Texas prison, and Jay Leno continuing to broadcast.’”
