I haven’t watched much modern Simpsons, but I caught this because my cat was asleep on my lap and the remote was out of reach after football ended. Is doing a sing A-plot common on the show now? I was shocked, and kind of happy, when I realized there wasn’t a dragged out B-plot. Not a great episode at all, but I’m all

They never said he doesn’t have the money to pull off a broadway show at a top theater. They’re saying that it cost him a lot more than he thought it would, which combined with the shooting location and his vast wealth indicates to me that he very well could have booked it on broadway. You’re acting like this guy

Conan does Tom Wambsgans a little *too* well

Did they explain how Ewan got to Scotland? Did he take a boat?

if a theater isn’t booked, and you have the money to foot the bill, you can absolutely open an unknown, untested play on Broadway. The history of Broadway is littered with failed plays/musicals that close almost immediately due to lack of funding. Look up “Glory Days”. Broadway isn’t a meritocracy. You can 100% buy

Also: this is the guy who allows his writers to publish whatever crap they want (I’m thinking back to that kidnapped girl article), and then IMMEDIATELY throws them under the bus the second any controversy starts. He does this all the time! One of the shittiest things I’ve seen in media!

The A’s and Mariners also wore logos in the Japan Series. Really weird that they only do it overseas.

There’s this thing that writers do, when they can’t manufacture drama naturally, where they make characters assholes solely to add tension. It is extremely tedious and cheap and was the entirety of Hopper’s arc this season.

I think the only palatable outcome here would be a brokered convention where Bernie and Warren combine their delegates. You assume they’re splitting the left vote, but people in either of their coalitions could break for a different candidate if one drops out. Lets take it to the convention.

Damn I was hoping you’d ask about his Tim and Eric spot.

Brad Rutter would like a word.

Why’d he bet so little there? Was he trying to lose? Sick of it and didn’t want to keep going?

Wow. Doesn’t paint Lena Waithe in a great light. I guess working with Aziz made her put up the Forgiveness Blinders. A shame.

The Wegmans bags are great. Only problem is when you have greasy fingers and have to rezip it. Otherwise I love them. Easy to carry, better for the environment.

How many games are the Mets winning this year?

Chance is the biggest brand whore in music. this was 100% a planned/sponsored thing

The only way he loses is if someone else plays his game against him. That’s how the April 29 guy came so close, he recognized the insane wagers Holzhauer was placing and started doing the same thing. I think if Holzhauer makes it to the next filming season, when everyone has seen him on TV, he’s gonna have a much

is there just...no article? for anyone else? I am not seeing an article. just the standard header with no grade.

Yup. Once when he had a platter system one of our projectionists (old guy who had come out of retirement because we were shorthanded) put ALL of the trailers we got mailed that week on a single movie. There was, I shit you not, 35 minutes of trailers. It was like this for *2 days*. When I came in on Sunday I thought

lol something like this happened at a theater I worked at years ago. The projectionist accidentally started “Shutter Island” instead of “How to Train Your Dragon”. Big whoopsie, lots of angry parents.
