They weren’t there to serve a warrant, because the warrant was for a different person in a different house.

Thanks for being a coward when your country needs you!

Oh stfu with this bothsidesism bullshit. It’s a philosophy that does nothing but leave the door open for manipulation; it’s bankrupt hogshit that thrives on false equivalences and cowardice

I think driving away racists is a win, but that’s just my opinion, maybe I’m incorrect.

This is not a ‘both sides’ issue. When the question is “should police be allowed to kill unarmed, sleeping civilians” the answer is “no” and there’s no option to be tolerant or open-minded. There isn’t a compromise “police can have a little murder, as a treat” option. While there might be different solutions to the

I’m still somewhat puzzled you bought a Chrystler Minivan here in Europe...

Oh I’m certain he does have much, much juicier stories. I think the problem he was faced with was, as Trump’s enforcer and intimidator and modern day Roy Cohn, pulling the ones where he wouldn’t incriminate himself or make himself look like more of a piece of shit in the retelling. So he just coughed up these sorry tur

Not only should sexual predators not have access to my “personal data”, the manufacturers should not have access to my “personal data”, and in fact my automobile should be storing my “personal data”.

I was going to say this. It’s straight out of the GOP playbook.

Most people are irrational and vote based on emotion. Very few people make decisions based on facts and even fewer make decisions based solely on objective facts and without consideration of any emotions. Fear is a one of the most powerful emotions and quite easy to invoke. Humans are complex and very complicated

I think bringing up her mental health at all in this context is disenfranchising her. A convoluted metaphor is something that can happen to anyone who is trying to make a question they don’t want to answer go away.

But by pointing it out you further stigmatize mental illness. It’s a way of saying that once you are known to have a mental illness of any kind, everything you say will be filtered through it, no matter what. When I see Heche’s comments, it’s not ‘whoa she said something not normal, clearly her mental health problems

I didn’t see any mental health issues being manipulated here, just someone asking a woman about a famous ex and that woman trying to get out of saying anything of substance about her. It ended in a car crash of a metaphor, but whatever mental health struggles she may have didn’t really play into it.

This criticism seems misplaced to me. Neither the Mr. Warburton interview nor the AV Club post have taken the angle of “Check out what wild and crazy things Anne Heche is up to now!”

And when Ellen looked down, there was only one set of footprints.

We all lie in the bed we make, but sometimes that bed is a road. And so instead we end up walking where we sleep. But if we don’t like where we are going, its time to have a different dream. For Ellen, its time for her to wake up, into a new dream, where she can lie down, and walk her own path.

I used to tell people that. When they would come up with some birther shit or call him a “secret Muslim” I would say that there were plenty of substantial things to talk about and definitely some policies you could disagree with.  So if you lead with the bullshit, either you’ve got nothing, or you’re just a racist.

and also, to be clear—he doesn’t regret the posting, he regrets that he has to suffer consequences for his racist bullshit.  It still blows my mind that in 2020 people do this shit and don’t think there will be blowback but if we have learned anything in the last 3+ years, it’s that some people are absolute fucking

That’s the point, my friend. They don’t CARE about the policies. Any more than they cared about Obama’s policies. The motivations are deeper and more sickening than that.

Facebook, much like alcohol, doesn’t make you racist, it just reveals your racism.
