Actually, the perception of others comes first. The slurs of social workers and police can cause us to defiantly embrace what pejorative labels they give us.

I missed my cousin’s wedding in California because I lost my job and the citizenship was getting screwed up. We couldn’t travel. It was a huge event. We were present at the first in the country, in Cambridge, and would’ve given anything to go to California with our son.
