What in the FUCK is this bullshit?

I just watched the 2016 film this weekend and honestly don’t know what the haters are talking about. I loved it; sure it had flaws (primarily that the humor was a little try-hard, but that’s pretty much every comedy now), but I still really liked it.

Listen, I like Paul Rudd as much as the next guy, but we’re starting to reach Peak Paul Rudd exposure here.

To be fair his comment had nothing to do with “the point”. It was just a tidbit of trivia. I dare argue that you indeed missed the point.

If this is “in poor taste” because it bases a show around a white actor’s character... couldn’t the same thing be said about (*checks notes*) almost every other TV show being made? They’re all equally bad for not casting an actor of colour.

How would Dessen even find this criticism?

WOW. I’m shocked by all this in part because I am a huge fan of Sarah Dessen... so I know that statement is absolutely true.

It takes a real quality human being to think that an 18 year old kid getting aggressive shit from his bosses about continuing his education and maybe having aspirations bigger than being a retail lifer is cool.

Why, it’s so gracious of you to be concerned for her welfare. She did find a different job, because that one was unnecessarily unpleasant.
