@amowls: Well the way you saw the original article isn't the way the editors of this site saw it as they have now twice written that they posted the article to introduce opposing viewpoints for our own education.

I don't see this article (while interesting in it's own right) as a "counterpoint" to the article that was posted last week.

@haguenite: I for one am SHOCKED that women experience difficulties with street harassment and general issues of sexual assault in OTHER COUNTRIES. Who knew?

@tinidancer: Are you a police officer? I'm just curious why you feel the need to so vocifirously defend them in a thread that is prompted by a display of abuse of power on a very large scale.

@Vermontboy: There is sexual abuse in mens prisons. However it doesn't fall into the pattern of staff assaulting prisoner that we see on a massive scale in women's prisons. Which is what I was talking about in relation to the above video.

@ptarmigan: Is this a generalization? Yes. But the more exposure I have to police officers (through my work) the more I have come to believe it to be true.
