No I agree. When Hannah did Hannah things with Adam, the Hannah-ness got diluted down somewhat and sometimes came off as normal compared to Adam's Adamness. However, when you compare that to Fran who is a functioning adult who interacts in functioning adults ways, Fran comes off as mean or controlling or whatever,…
Well, obviously he didn't change her, since she was still a crotch-flashing, interrupting, eye-rolling sort of person.
Yes to the round the clock baby care. It is exhausting. Plus when you get that tired, you just get stupid.
And I agree with that, but I also don't think that automatically makes Fran the bad guy for not breaking up with her sooner.
But the whole episode she was clueless, even when Adam wasn't around to see it (like going pee). She just seemed so awkward and unfamiliar about the concept of what a child is, when in the past, she's liked kids. I thought one of her sisters even has kids? I get that the baby spit up was about wanting attention from…
Do you think Hannah would have eventually gotten in the car with him?
I think Laird didn't know what the hell to do. He's not always been the most stable or decisive.
That's what I'm saying. I don't think she has to be totally comfortable with a baby, but her whole "what is this strange creature?!?" attitude is off since in the past she actually liked kids, worked as a nanny, worked in a kid's clothing store, etc.
Didn't she help in the delivery of Sample?
I didn't understand what you were saying, hence me clarifying and asking. Autocorrect can sometimes turn words into something else, and undermine and demean are two different things.
I don't understand why Hannah didn't dump him earlier. She's mentioned doing so about every episode after the first one, and she's been…
You know what though, I get that. Really, who wants to be the person who left their ex at a rest stop with no way of getting home? If it were me, yes, I would think of them as being selfish and childish to prove a point at the risk of their own safety.
When she helped with Caroline during labor.
Is it such a bad thing to try and change her from being a person who thinks its ok to show her genitals to her boss?
It's odd though, because during the first season Jessa is a nanny, and I could have sworn that when she got the job she said she had been a nanny several times before. That doesn't mean she has nannied for babies before, but her whole "oh god what is this tiny creature?" shtick came off as odd for some who has worked…
2 more things:
1. Was not amused by Hannah's giggling over the driver being abused by his girlfriend.
2. That was actually a rather beautiful (as in moving) depiction of PPD. I hope Caroline gets help.
Just realized Ray has now had some sort of sex with every girl but Jessa.
Not trying to be a grammar jerk, but do you mean he was undermining her, or was demeaning towards her?
And I don't think it's a bad thing to want her to be the type of person who doesn't show her genitals to her boss. I would say Fran's biggest flaw was not breaking up with her sooner.
I have been married for over 11 years. I know my husband's in's and out's, up's and down's, and I would STILL rather shoot myself in the foot than go on a 3 month road trip with him. Is this normal behaviour? Do young 20ish people do that sort of thing? I really don't know.
And if the Inside the Episode thingy says…
So, to anyone who reads this . . . What do you think the end game is? If would be neat to think Lena et al had the whole series planned from day 1, but I doubt it, and even though technically the girls don't have to get happy endings,I do think things will end happily. But who will end up with who?
