I’ve come to expect spin-off media like tie-in books/comics to be more detailed/nuanced and sometimes more well thought-out than the movie/TV show they are tying in to (especially since Nemesis doesn’t set the bar particularly high). Guess this is an exception.

I do. The reason they keep churning out horrible Transformers movies is because of the good box office draw.
