I was an activist on sexual assault issues in college when this happened, so the fact that I did nothing haunts me. But let me try to explain:

When my wife was a server (also some years ago) a guy grabbed her ass and she immediately poured the drink she was carrying on his head.

I had a 60-year-old geezer with a CANE grab my ass while walking up the stairs at Penn from the NJTransit platform. I whipped around and started yelling and pointing and making a scene, but he wouldn’t admit anything until my boyfriend caught up and got up in his face. Then it was all “it was a mistake, I didn’t mean

“... That means iPhone owners can recharge it on the go without packing a grody microUSB cable.”

“... That means iPhone owners can recharge it on the go without packing a grody microUSB cable.”

If she had reported it, 99% chance it would have been brushed off as “no big deal” or “nothing we can do” or “why are you making a scene”. That’s what happens, because it happens all the time and is normalized.

When I was about 22 ish (back when the Loch Ness monster was just a tadpole) a 60ish man put his hand down my skirt and squeezed my ass at a charity function. My then boyfriend tried to make me tell someone, but all I wanted to do was leave.

Do you remember when Ted Cruz was spouting off about carpet bombing (which verse was that in the Bible? I can’t remember) and Obama went on the record saying essentially “That is a literal war crime. We are bombing as much as intelligence allows.”

Let’s be clear about something...

The undefeated joke from last season never clicked with me for whatever reason.

I’m not saying mental illness is a blank check to behave however the hell you want to behave. I’m saying that the linked article is assigning the label “psychopath” to basically anybody who is behaving like a jerk. And just because you have been diagnosed and, I assume, have progressed with treatment, doesn’t mean

My point, though, is that most of the people I have ever known who I suspect would have failed this test, were dealing (or not dealing) with something internal that was beyond their control—whether it be chronic depression, bipolar disorder, etc. I mean, I’m sure there are plenty of so-called “toxic” people who don’t

I think it’s fair to say that someone who consistently lies is a liar, etc., but I don’t think it’s fair to write them off as toxic and remove them from your life as the article says. As you said, life has come complexities.

What about people suffering from mental illness or some other brain disorder? Fuck ‘em?

I think there’s always a danger with this kind of ready-reckoning selection - as if three is some magic number - hides a lot of the complexity of life. Even with the ‘exception’ disclaimer, there are people, friends, family, acquaintances where 3 is not the right number. It oversimplifies life which is not just a case

Weird that someone would mount a challenge from the left with a GIVE 👏YOUR 👏 MONEY 👏 TO 👏 CENTRISTS 👏 campaign.

IIRC, The Concourse was more focused on Drew’s Funbag, Ley’s bear news, and occasional pieces about how to buy man clothing or other dude advice. It wasn’t all that political.

Ever been to a Buffalo Bills game? Don’t think the South has a lock on dim people.
