Well stated. You deserve more than just a star for that.

But this won’t set precedent at all. The deciding factor will be the credibility of the claimant, not whether or not GM’s actions actually caused the accident. If anything, it will allow for witness characterizations... which is already allowed. So I don’t really see any way that this sets precedent.

Please tell me that it was driven there by a bionic cop with his niece and her dog, and then later on in the show magically transformed into a van.

All hail I95 and it’s travelers through the joyous Carolinas.

In my own personal experience... most used and/or rental cars in latin america will have no airbags at all. Not because they were built without them, but because the previous owner took them out. (Typically by bumping into something and then gluing back the steering wheel cover.)

All hail thejewosh, the all mighty discerner of relevance!!! He shall cast all into the light, and the unworthy shall be unmercifully trolled.

The Double Split Experiment is flawed because of the simple fact that we don’t really understand how light travels. The best we can figure out is that it travels like a wave, but it doesn’t require a medium to travel through (like solids, liquids or gasses) like sound does. Further, without mass what exactly is moving

Yay!!! Another Pats fan with an over-inflated ego!!!

I’ve never understood this concept, it’s not “removing” anything. And breaking apart fiber is a physical change, not a chemical one. The nutritional value does not change just because you cut something in half.

It doesn’t “govern the sale”, and nobody claimed it did. It determines the definition of the words “wholesale” and “retail” from a legal standpoint. Which has been my point the entire time.

I don’t doubt it... but if you go through the builder on the Jeep website there is an “option” to add a 4.10 rear end. And when you select it you get switched back to the automatic.

Even the Rubicon “as tested” would be pushing the 40k mark. What I did find odd was that you can’t get the “optional” 4.10 rear end with a manual transmission. So... there’s that.

I’d wager that as a general rule the Deadspin community has no problem with daily fantasy sports. However, as the article (and common sense) suggests, when there is money changing hands there are laws involved.

That’s part of the collusion mentioned in the lawsuit.

I’ve already posted the link in this response chain. The Department of Labor defines them, as a part of the Fair Labor Standards Act. But the actual underlying issue is sales tax.

The $ value doesn’t matter, the laws governing the sale are different depending wholly on who the customer is. In fact the retail price can be lower than the wholesale price and it wouldn’t matter.

“Wholesaling is the selling of merchandise to anyone—person or organization—other than the end consumer of that merchandise.”

By definition, yes. If I am an individual ordering a single product, and there is no expectation or agreement for me to order more, then that is exactly what retail means.

One point of contention... if I can buy it as an individual that IS the retail price. Wholesale prices only apply to wholesalers.

They’re called disclosure laws... and if they don’t exist in a certain area then there’s nothing forcing them to disclose anything. Like I said earlier, the law hasn’t caught up with the real world yet, so laws for non-hotel short term rentals aren’t as complete as they probably should be.
