Exactly. Mix it all together, and then you have a salad.
It’s not a salad because it is not combined. If you mixed it all together, then it would be a salad.
My thoughts exactly. The concept of a salad is that it is multiple things mixed together. That’s the whole idea. Her plate has the makings of a salad, but until there is some mixing, it’s just a plate of various foodstuffs.
Agree 100% in regards to the quote from the ND coach, but Auriemma’s quote paints him as a dickbag lamenting the fact that players have any agency at all. Sure, he acknowledges that some coaches have abused their power, but his conclusion is that the abuse is unfortunate not because of the negative impact on players…
Totally agree. Which is why I think this post is a little unfair to the Notre Dame coach, at least based on the quote provided. I read her as saying that it’s a good thing that players are pushing back against abusive treatment, but that they need to expect a little bit of yelling in this environment. Her quote seemed…
I think this proliferation is not because all the varieties sell well, but for the same reason AB-InBev makes seventeen different kinds of Lime-A-Rita and packages Bud Light fourteen different ways: to occupy finite grocery store shelf space to the exclusion of competitors who have less pull with distributors.
Any of them that you really want to taste. Pouring into a glass releases volatile chemicals that contribute to aroma and, hence, flavor. The act of drinking out of a glass also puts your nose close to the beer, so you’re better able to take in that aroma, which contributes to taste. Not saying I sit at the beach…

Schlotzsky’s is a decent (I stress decent) chain deli-type place. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. all of which are passable. Not sure the extent of their territory.
Just spend a couple extra bucks and go to Ruby Tuesday, which is actually halfway decent.
That was a lot of words to say “cheese toast with Worchestershire sauce on it.”
You can do much, much worse than Cracker Barrel when looking for roadside dining, especially with children. It has some legitimately good, not just passable, dishes.
Check out Fritz Schnackenpfefferhausen’s video above. Seems pretty clear to me that Turner gets Edwards with the body on his follow through. That’s a textbook call. Absolute gut punch of a game to be sure, but the Vols didn’t lose because of that call.
The fouls on Turner and Eastern and were both correct calls. You can’t hip check a shooter and you can’t undercut his legs (which is what Eastern did, though not egregiously). Neither shooter jumped into the defender in a way that could possibly negate the illegal defensive contact.
A kid who is 11-12 years old — hardly a “little guy” — and thinks it’s funny that he can hurt an elderly and ailing animal is fundamentally broken, and so being delicate and gentle with him is unlikely to result in any behavior changes.
Normally we get upset when big companies game the system/ just choose to ignore regulations that actually do exist.
