That's a very unrealistic example of someone living in SF. First, if you're living in SF, don't own a car. But public transit is still going to be about $5/day. $1,000/month rent? Is that like a 100 sq ft hole? Or are you sharing with 3 other people in a 2-bedroom?

Damn it, when will we get a 2K+ resolution for 24 inch monitor?

God farted in the bathtub again.

So sad. My MX Revolution mouse is doing the inadvertent double clicking, time for a new mouse.

you can get larger carat diamonds for cheap if you're willing to give up quality. You can walk into a Zales (or something similar) and get a 3 carat diamond ring for under $10K. Quality is going to very cloudy with a lot of imperfections, but hey it's big.

you could just get a refurb WD Live TV Plus for $60, that has Pandora and Netflix.

If manufacturers want me to buy a new TV, here's what I want:

I think the better phrasing is "there's no way one company will do all this WELL for long."

I still haven't gotten around to upgrading my girlfriend's MacBook (early 2009) to Lion so I guess I'll be skipping it then.

I always thought that the N64 would have done better with the Ultra64 name.
