I think the OG run of Law and Order had few episodes just like this. One, IIRC, ended horrifically with the Russian mob wiping out the witness’ mother and nearly the witness themselves (a small child).

I don’t see how that is relative when the GOP starts out with a deficit and almost never has a chance of winning the popular vote.

For a republican to win the popular vote in the 2000s, its a landslide.
