Oh, I’m sure DeSantis is polling well, but the problem is that Dump still commands a sizable portion of the GOP base—-and we’re not talking about people who will change their minds if DeSantis primaries-out TFG. Especially if scorned Trump decides to run his little “Stop thuhhh steeel” circus on DeSantis.

Somebody pointed out to me on another site that there is another possibility, that if the GOP realizes they cannot win in 24 without Trump’s base, they might convince the more controllable DeSantis to suck it up and be Trump’s running mate and VP for 4 years.

It would be funny if his tantrums didn’t cause death and chaos in real life.

Either way, they’re screwed.

There really isn’t any way for the GOP to ditch him and have any chance whatsoever at the Presidency in 2024.
