It’s not some mysterious force...it kicks in when your WiFi connection is genuinely crap. I really doubt your home WiFi network is crap, so when you were watching Netflix at home, it won’t have used WiFi Assist. (though I have to ask, if you’re at home, why are you watching on the absolute smallest screen you own?)

Which Apple says you shouldn’t use the beta on your main device. But then they wouldn’t have anything to blame on Apple!
