Look, what I did wasn’t murder-murder. That absolutely wasn’t murder, because when you use the word murder you mean I mashed his head into the shaggy carpet with the tire lever. Don’t just throw that word around. What I did was more like a gentle ushering of his consciousness through the tunnel that reaches into the

It was news 15 years ago, I certainly remember it. I’m more surprised at the outrage only starting now for some people... Tarantino has always been a douchebag of the highest order.

Not only did she explicitly say she didn’t want it in her deposition testimony, not only was she drugged, but having sex with a 13 year old is also a crime in France, where Polanski fled, and in Poland, where he was born, (and it was for both of them in the 70s too.)

UK Update:

Jesus, this sounds like my story. At 46, I’ve also begun to unpack my sexual history and what I thought was consensual at 14 (losing my virginity to my friend’s 28 year old brother after doing cocaine one evening) was not. I was a child. It’s confusing and I’m interested to see how this film handles it.

I don’t think that most people in the stands were Minnesotans. Then there’s also the fact that Prince himself didn’t even like JT.

Something that can’t get lost in the discussion of this ho-hum performance is just how bad the wardrobe choices were. Timberlake looks so good in a (regular, non-camo) suit - why would you do this to him?!? Why would you do this to all of us??? The color pallet with the back-up dancers didn’t help anything, either.

Absolutely underrated! Loved her before her success in Hamilton - i’m probably one of the few who saw her shine in ‘All About You’ (great singing voice too)...Yea, definitely underrated and absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to check out Altered Carbon. Much continued success. Great to read about her at TheRoot...

I started watching this last night and fell asleep on it because I’ve had a very long week. But it seems like an interesting show for sure, and I’m always here for Joel Kinnaman. Having this backstory helps, too, because I was wondering what they would do with her Goldsberry’s character. Will keep watching.

Yes, but the added sense of unfairness in your description really drives it home. :)

You have to...

So – I’m a little busy right now to do a truly comprehensive list without getting a check for it – especially since I’d essentially be doing the author’s work – but would it not have been useful to at least list *some* of the most prominent current women whose work has been co-opted and whitewashed and erased?

I should have known the Germans would have a word for this. I’ve just been calling it secondhand embarrassment.

CAME HERE TO SAY THAT!

“I feel embarrassed now which is unfair because this is not my fault” is the BEST description of Fremdschämen that I’ve ever read.

wha

It’s like an Old Spice commercial.

“Those comments were made without having any knowledge I would ever be here”

So it’s cool to say this about a woman only if you aren’t going to meet her/be her cohost??? okay wtf kind of logic is that.

“I’m actually very, very respectful to female co-hosts,”

Now playing

It doesn’t get any more “WTF were the early 90s even about?” awesome than the Lisa/Barry White duet
