I left for college in 2003 and it was worth every penny of the exhorbitant student loans for out of state tuition. I would live in my car before I’d move back.

It’s deeply regrettable, but West Virginia has really capitalized on the opportunity to live up to its worst stereotypes.

The justification is basically to reduce poor health and early death by making harmful things less available and convenient.

I want to believe this line is shade:

Truly, who the fuck does this, when not doing this is an option?

Dude stop reading it. Doing really simple media analysis doesn’t take away from your experiences or anyone else’s. We can care about more than one thing at a time.

I took it on my honeymoon (it was a wedding gift!), so we got used to handheld during travel and have kept using it that way. I don’t mind the joycons or the ergonomics at all and count myself lucky. I just want more games!

Why on earth would this make you hate liberals? Or anyone? That’s messed up. An “Eh, I don’t see it” and a click away will suffice next time.

Yes. Psychology Today is the tabloid trash iteration of actual psychology research. There should be a warning sticker on the cover.

My guess is that it drops the literal day after Suri turns 18. Here’s hoping!

My mom and grandma had vitiligo, and I was really worried that I would too. I feel like something like this would have made it more normal, because it was lightyears away from something that could be considered attractive or interesting in my mind.

I grew up in West Virginia, and you are on point here. White people are an overwhelming majority, and most of them go absolutely berserk with racism over people who they rarely even see. It’s very energizing, evidently.

Given that West Virginians are so emotionally attached to coal mining that they barely mustered a collective shrug when a corporation dumped poisonous chemicals into their drinking water 3 years ago, I don’t think that is the problem, and I’m assuming you’re not from there.

Legit more interested in the advice child you would have published than this travesty.

I started to agree with your original statement, then realized most people still think she’s the great white hope. Quite the emotional rollercoaster honestly.

I’m just glad she disabused everyone of that notion so quickly. What a time-saver! I’d be so mad if I had to keep reading articles about how she’s a smart, progressive voice in the White House!

This is the utterly charmless book version of what a kid thinks “work” is like.

You forgot the part where he observed something that exists! Very incisive.

Notably, the AJC also white-flighted itself to the suburbs, which may help explain their propensity for dumb coverage (there is so much!) about the city itself.

This, plus there’s no way any combination of “shea” or “moisture” is going to do good things for the white girl hair types in the commercials. It might be good for women with curlier or frizzier hair, but that’s not even what I see here.
