This was exciting news but after seeing the videos above I think I’ll pass...who would want to play with that kind of stuttering? I’d rather wait and enjoy it properly at home. Hopefully one day the whole thing will run a lot smoother.

On a related note, whenever anything is announced that requires an internet

Isn’t that a pic of Impossible Mission II and not Elevator Action?

Nostalgia hits me hard with Impossible Mission II! Never played Elevator Action but google tells me it looks different

The last tip is probably the most valuable. I had read a few tips here and there, especially the “build a Silo first” one and kinda felt like I was failing at the game since I hadnt even figured out crafting yet (which you need for the copper bars for the silo). Good to know that there will always be next year and

Maybe Nintendo is taking a page out of Apple’s playbook and leaking this information purposefully to build up hype. It’s a good tactic to implement to keep the Nintendo hype strong during a time when there’s no or few imminent releases

Would it be possible for your review to include a note about whether the PS4 and PC versions are identical in term of features and options? Just in case there is a superior version of the game for some reason or another

The "thin" in the title is misleading. This is not the new Stealth ultrabook recently released. This is the size of a MacBook pro and has a much better graphics card

While not gaming you can get a good 6 hours out of it, maybe more if you use everything like windows 10 battery saver mode and such. While gaming, only about one, probably wouldn't make it to two.

Got this full price about 9 months ago and LOVE IT SO MUCH! Totally worth it. Portable, plays games well on high graphics, etc. Replacing the SSD was not a problem at all and if you’re careful enough, no one needs to know!

Your question reflects the best argument I’ve heard from other responses here, the fact that we’re all just people and skin color doesn’t matter. And of course that’s true, but the fact remains there are people with different skin tones, fictional or not, and all obviously equally human.

Plenty of cosplayers of all races at New York Comic Con, cosplaying all sorts of characters and things. I think female harassment regardless of race was always the bigger issue there though

You assume correctly though I do have northern african blood in me too but born in the white part of Europe. In any case, I should have framed it differently. I meant people should move past associating black face to the old offensive minstrel shows. Why does it offended this generation of black people if its

black face sure, but race and racism? way older

(Since I can’t edit I’ll just reply to myself)

To summarize my responses to everyone’s comments:

1) I realize that the Mad Moxxi cosplay (whose name I just now learned) is clown paint and not meant to be white face. It just made me wonder whether black people ever did white face, which led to the rest of my initial

Not my intention. The clown paint just made me wonder whether black people did white face. Also think that as an artistic and serious endeavor it should be ok. Obviously, for historic reasons, it is not.

Unfortunate that the bullshit social construct was made centuries ago and too much has happened as a result. It’d be nice if we could wipe the slate clean and just move past everything.

I’d say the rules are made by the cosplayer themselves but as plenty of people have pointed out, blackface is just wrong no matter how sincere your portrayal. Given the historical context and racial tension it makes sense but it would be nice if it weren’t that way.

I’d probably react the exact same way! My parents, especially my mom, loves rap (go figure). So of course my sister and I have to keep reminding her she can’t go saying nigger in public!! She knows she’s not supposed to of course but not being from America or living here she doesn’t know the context and the meaning

I’ll agree that it usually doesn’t look good at all. Especially when the first images that come to mind are of the ones that were obviously offensive, like most last minute halloween costumes. However, we’re talking pro-level cosplay here, like the ones pictured above. They could and would probably do a full body

Well said. Now imagine a little innocent white kid wanting to dress up as a hero from a different race, say Morpheus. Parents telling him that he can’t be his favorite superhero because he’s not of the same race. Everyone will think he's New instead since they dress practically the same. Shouldn’t we first be proud of

That's definitely along the line of my thinking. It just continues to create a divide, us versus them, untouchable and taboo. If it's an honest, serious attempt, why automatically deem it offensive?
