I *could* read all of that, or I could ignore it and tell you to go fuck yourself. Guess which I chose?

No, the “second” someone tries to have a substantive argument with me after childishly flooding my kinja dashboard with dozens of photos for NO FUCKING REASON other than to be an OBNOXIOUS PRICK, that’s what happened. Now fuck off like you said you were going to.

You: “Toodles!”

People of color might, but the media in general, as we both know, doesn’t tend to express what people of color are discussing and Jezebel generally doesn’t single out specific movies like this, so I thought this was an odd target for this website.

Well, yet again, I didn’t intend to be dismissive of you, so I have no idea how to move forward and you won’t tell me.

Still unclear on the “go fuck yourself” I see. Here ya go:

Clearly, you need photos to help you understand what “go fuck yourself” means. Here:

Hmm... let me think about my response to that... oh right, it’s: Go fuck yourself.

“I’m not saying you’re a racist, I’m just saying you’re defending whiteness!”

I’m really confused about who the “us” is on that shirt because it sounds like he’s talking about people who want to keep abortion legal, but it also sounds like he’s one of them and he’s not...

My only point, before you decided to flood me with fucking pictures to try and show what a racist I was and then claim you never called me a racist because you didn’t literally use that word, was that there are better film choices to make this otherwise good point about.

Yeah, no one except the multiple people who have literally called me a white supremacist and the person who said I was “defending whiteness” and the person (you) who is flooding me with photos of black actors and implying I think they don’t exist.

When are you going to realize that I NEVER FUCKING DENIED THAT?

The important thing here is we’ve proved that I’m definitely a white supremacist.

I do know that many old movies, as the child of two film historians, and it was very, very, very uncommon to have black people in movies with the exception of the occasional song and dance number or playing very low working-class jobs like maids and porters.

I know it would really hurt your narrative if I didn’t happen to be a major racist, so maybe you could just tell me exactly which white supremacist group I should join...

No, I was saying the movie wouldn’t get distributed in the South because black people happened to be in it at all. That’s what happened and many studios didn’t want to take the risk with their bigger budget films. You may find that absurd, but that’s a simple fact of history. Some studios refused to cast black people,

I’m not saying not to complain about it. I’m saying it’s an odd target to choose as the single movie and there are much better ones. Like, I don’t know, every single Nicholas Sparks movie.

I see, if you cherry-pick what I said and ignore all of the things I was saying about how racist people were then, how people of color are still being underrepresented in Hollywood, how we really need to be addressing the big-budget mainstream movies that aren’t doing this, you can claim I was “defending whiteness.”

I’m trying to understand what your point here is. I don’t know why you keep pasting pictures of black actors or why you think I don’t know who Lena Horne is.
