I am a big fan of Stronglifts 5x5. Now, I’m not an expert so people can respond to this and add their own opinions, but I lost over 30 pounds in a few months by using that program for strength training. I really liked the simplicity and the slow progression towards heavier weights.

I don’t know why I do this! I catch myself all the time and it drives me crazy. I don’t even feel like I’m trying to sound less authoritarian. I am more than happy to sound like that and let the kids know that there is no wiggle room, but it just slips in.
