I recently (just two weeks ago) booked a huge trip to Alaska to see the northern lights for my birthday. Every time I tell someone about this trip, they ask “youre going alone???”

My father, who is 78 and a Bill Buckley-style Republican, gets his coffee at a shop with a trans man working the register. My dad manages to call this man by his (masculine) name or “Sir” every morning. He has said he, “doesn’t really get it” but then he shrugs because why would he care? What’s it to him or Vlaming

Someone plagiarized from my college paper for his MA! Six years later I finally called his school and confronted him via email. The bastard threatened to sue me after they revoked his masters!

Awh...

I dunno, I think having the words she stole permanently tattooed on her is...

And yet when I tweet my doctor for a refill on Xans, he tells me “get some help” and “I have a PhD in econometrics, I’m not that kind of doctor.”

Also, several readers have reached out to me to suggest I watch previous seasons before I review this show. To them and anyone else who feels this way, I politely say...fuck no. That is not the point of this series! Thank you.

*Hear Hear.

You win today.

Oh, and here are some yung guys participating in the protest

Same

Yes! I was calorie counting for a while and flavored seltzer + vodka was my jam. Couple drops of bitters or a lime wedge and it’s pretty fuckin’ good.

I’m jealous. Have a great time!

I hope you’re doing better and I really appreciate your comment. Some of my *darkest* episodes have only been survived by putting some bullshit. fluff, escapist tv (not saying that’s what this is) on in the background 24/7 for literally weeks at a time. Escapism is ok. It’s necessary. I like your cotton candy comment

Same! I was in a dark place when season one of MMM premiered and I binged it in a few days. It made me happy, which sometimes is all we need from entertainment.

Oh and I will check out books with pictures. Also I met Matt Fraction at the recent comic con and he was super nice and funny!

My favorite bars:

Wow.  Miss Michigan looks like a doppelganger of Amber Heard.

I second the Portland Aerial Tram. Also work at OHSU, take it every day, and the view never gets old. On a clear day (rare except for summer, admittedly), you can see Mt. Hood and what’s left of Mount St. Helens. The evening view of the cityscape is also divine.

Let the whole thing rest for five minutes, so as to prevent burning your mouth beyond recognition
