In my lexicon, yes, or I will think of the ramen substituting the patty. Which,,,, ew?

This is very timely, as I have come to realize that cheeseburgers are my favorite food. And I am VERY particular.

Pear shaped diamond with a gold band?

I am a FAN of ketchup, but I may end up making my own for two reasons: 1) I’m going back on Whole 30 (insofar as I keep food at my home; I will still have a beer and whatever I want if/when I go out, which is very infrequently), and 2) I am actively trying to use less plastic and create less waste. So maybe I can find

I live in Vancouver but I’m in Portland every day for work. I think that’s part of why I like Claire’s stuff so much - I get the gist of where she’s shopping, etc.

Are you also a Portlander??

I’ve only ever had luck starting yeast with a bit of sugar. I don’t really keep sugar in my house, so I’ve found myself stranded with yeast that wouldn’t bloom, and then used grape jelly out of desperation. It worked!

Beans - as a whole are cheaper for me to cook from dry than to get canned. I still get canned for convenience, but with a pot (I have an amazing metal pot I got at a yard sale for, no kidding, 50 cents), or a crock pot (yay Christmas present, but it wasn’t even a very expensive one), I can make a plain batch of beans

Yeast requires sugar to start all its yeast farts.

It’s nice to see all the people behind the camera on The Handmaid’s Tale are getting additional work....

This sounds so delicious!!

  • What’s your preferred corn cooking method? Boiled on the cob, and then sliced off before eating (those mf’ers get stuck in my teeth so badly) and then I dump salted butter on it while it’s still hot.

I have several packs of straws from Ikea and I just don’t know what to do with them now. I can’t throw them away, and I can’t use them because then I’ll throw them away. Am I just going to have straws on display until I die?

Has anyone made their own produce bags instead of buying them? It seems like it would be a cinch to do if you have any sewing abilities, but I don’t have a machine right now and want to make sure I’m not ruining anyone’s life by asking them to either borrow theirs or see if they’d like to make them (compensating them

i accept this

I wear microfiber shorts under my skirts and dresses because I also want to stop sweat from gettin’ crazy rolling down my legs (it’s bad enough coming from my kneepits, which I believe is the scientific term for that area).

Woah - that sounds like INTENSE flavor!!

Before he was even inaugurated, I theorized that he would find a way to suspend the constitution in order to have no general election in 2020, or maybe in 2024.

I still use both soap and body wash, but I’m starting to think more seriously about using less plastic overall. I feel like I may be able to make soap into body wash (I used to be on Pinterest all the time and I think that’s a thing) and store it in an old pump shampoo bottle, or a glass jar possibly.
