No, media should give companies a hard time about bad business models first, then standing up for those stuck in some costly old plan just because the company was greedy and kept it, then maybe mention the good deal.
Is the game f2p yet?
Ugh, I hate battle passes. They prey on FOMO and make me incredibly anxious, because I fear that I’ll miss out on something really cool that I won’t have a chance to get in the future. I’m glad that we’ve moved past RNG lootboxes, but battle passes are exhausting.
I hate battle passes with a passion, it turns fun games into mandatory work since you have a limited timeframe and if you don’t complete it then you wasted some of your money.
At this point, “X is Getting a Battle Pass” is translated in my head to “It’s Time to Start Ignoring X”.
For some reason people think because you have a physical card with (some kind) of monetary value, or that you can pay for singles, TCG’s aren’t the same kind of gambling as loot boxes.
That’s the idea — and let’s hope it’s finally viewed as the gambling it is.
It reminds me of the old stories where Game Stop would sell people opened “New”games and people would’t find out that the DLC/online pass codes were already redeemed until Christmas.

In the ‘games as a service’ model, there are no sequels, just the continuing monetization of the product.
I’m old enough. He was a scumbag surrounded by scumbags And you don’t want to *not* read about politics here, you just don’t want politics that don’t hew to the St Ronnie line.
Lmfao. Just because Reagan's presidency didn't negatively effect you doesn't change the fact that he's probably the worst, most disgraceful president we've ever had
This wasn’t a review, and the shit that Reagan did during his administration was abominable, and that’s just how he dealt with the AIDS crisis alone. Beyond that, his bass-ackwards economic polices, proven not to work and since been deemed a failure by the fucking architect of the policy are still somehow considered…
Same difference. It has a dedicated button to a company. Saying that it’s commonplace means nothing; I already said it is. It’s precisely how this stuff has become so normalized when it absolutely shouldn’t be.
I’m glad you pointed out that without exclusives both machines have an identity crisis of sorts. Gamers lament exclusives but honestly they’re always the better titles.
