MC Chris (he did quite a few different voices on Aqua Teen Hunger Force and some other Adult Swim shoes) came forward with his story yesterday after reading Brendan’s account.

Erroneous.

The Fraser story of having a man grope him is so specific, and told with such squirming discomfort and embarrassment, that it’s kind of hard not to believe. It seems to have had a profound effect on someone who was feeling vulnerable, and that’s a hallmark of assault - the kind we have long expected women to just

Any answer other than the Mummy is wrong.

The scene in George of the Jungle where George runs with the horses was a very important moment for my early womanhood, so I have always had a soft spot for Brendan Fraser. I also like Bedazzled and Blast from the Past without any irony.

^ This.

Actually, for a lot of people, the idea of giving it up entirely makes it less likely that they’ll give it up, or moderate themselves. And apparently complete abstinence works better with men, who don’t moderate as well (this is from old data, so I’m not sure if that’s been challenged). But yeah, I get the guilt, and

I loved every bit of this. From Rubio trying to weasel out of saying he wouldn’t accept money from the NRA to trying to smooth talk his way through this and give standard campaign speech platitudes instead of real answers then getting his face cracked instead. Also, I’m sick of the whole “I’m a big believer in the 2nd

It does seem absolute and scary. My father is a high functioning alcoholic, and I drank to cope with its effect on me, and to feel close to him. We are estranged, it hurts me. I had pneumonia recently and spent a week on my back unable to eat and drink anything but water, and as I recovered I found myself really

Ahhh Fox News you’re so predictable.

I didn’t realize how fucking delicious it would be to see Marco Rubio getting ripped a new one by his constituents, especially the teenage constituents. I literally swelled up with pride when watching them challenge him and Dana the gun lady face to face.

It suuuper sucks. But, also it’s so nice to see this not live in the dark corner of shame it has in the past.

Every time I see studies like this I always wonder what’s wrong with me that I’m not particularly interested in living to be 90. It always seemed to me that there are diminishing positive returns after you hit a certain age. I think I’d rather drop dead at 70-75 while I’m still (hopefully!) in relatively good health

As the parent of a young child I notice this quite frequently. I get invited to breweries and wine tastings, over for “mommy juice” etc. I don’t have a problem going and not drinking but I feel a little bit of defensiveness or resistance when I’m not drinking.

On that note, I’m running a #DryFebruary fundraiser to raise money to fight alcohol-related cancers. I’ve got $160 to go to hit my goal of $500, so please allow me to spam your comment section. I promise to stop on March 1.

Hundreds of other things reduce stress that isn’t something your body doesn’t want or need in the first place.

Meanwhile...

Or generally healthy people are able to keep drinking moderately well into old age? Either way I plan on enjoying a glass of wine with dinner for as long as possible.

Yeah, except it also kills more people than the opioid crises per year.

The alcohol pickles you from the inside-out, so your cancerous tumors remain in stasis. Additionally, alcohol also thins your blood so it can pass in your tissue thin blood vessels without rupturing them or causing blood clots.
