He’s the CEO and slept with an employee. He’s not fired because of the cheating, it’s the abuse of power.

They used to work for Buzzfeed. Had a very popular video series and then left and started their own thing. Now popular YouTubers. I’d say they’re most known by the lower half of millennial or older Gen Z.

I am kind of a fan of their website and I breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn’t Keith or Eugene (it would be odd if this headline referred to him). I’m fine with Ned being replaced though I’m puzzled as to why this should permanently derail his place in the group.

This is more akin to the John Mulaney situation. Famous wife guy whose brand is “I love my wife and kids!” ends up being a grossy grosserson

They did cancel netflix series because of this.

they arent canceling what will eventually be a Billion dollar release. no company is that insane. This isnt some mid-level indie release. GTA6 is too big NOT to release and T2/Rockstar arent going to cancel. A delay in release? sure. But outright cancelling is out of the question.

I can’t be the only person to see the footage and be impressed with the visuals—I think it looks quite good, especially for such a an early build.

Social media was a mistake.”

What has surprised me most about this leak is the number of fanboys who’ve seen the leaked footage, replete with placeholder models, temporary animation, and visible code superimposed on top of the gameplay and gone “WTF, Rockstar?! This doesn’t look like a finished game! What a clown show!”

I see they sourced UI design to Ubisoft!

Rockstar once again in the news thanks to hot beverages

Part of me wishes Rockstar would come out and be like “well now that its been leaked, we’re cancelling GTA6. We hope you’re all happy with yourselves”. But the only company petty enough to do that is Nintendo

“If Rockster contact me with an offer it won’t be leaked” - an easier case of extortion a prosecutor could never have.  Holy shit, was this hacker stupid to lay it out in writing like this.

Yeah like you can plausibly defend yourself to get more or less a slap on the wrist if it was just theft, saying you did it as a lark to see if you could, for the notoriety, to point out security flaws, or didn’t think it would be a big deal, etc., but extortion is whole other legal ballgame. You can’t pretend to not

No, just a nightmare for employees in marketing, a bummer for developers, a missed opportunity for a hype reveal for fans, and scumbag clout for the leaker. Look up the way Schreier got bombarded by and ignored pleases from employees to stop leaking himself a couple years back.

Half-Life 2 is the best example, more than 90% of the original half-life 2 code was leaked online. without any way to really stop it (the DMCA was still very young at the time) valve chose to scrap everything and re-do it from the ground up which delayed the game a few years.

You don’t issue DMCA takedowns of videos that aren’t your property.” I wish this was true. Sadly, there are still stupid people out there willing to get themselves in trouble for a bit of revenge. Rockstar’s probably in the clear, however.

The stupid motherfucker was the first one to broach the topic of money. They can add extortion to whatever else Rockstar is going to drop on their head.

The rear gives me camaro, but the haunches are very much the same as the current, outgoing S550.
