A targa top is a form of convertible. A convertible is just a body style that can covert from being open-air to being enclosed, something a targa top is as well.

It’s also not a convertible production car, so your point is moot.

I assume you also think the Shelby Cobra is an AC Ace with a Ford truck motor in it, the Ford GT40 is a glorified Lola MK6, the Tesla Roadster is a Lotus with some laptop batteries where the engine used to be, and the first gen Mustang is just a 2 door Falcon with a shorter wheelbase.

But does that one convert? i.e. can you put a roof on it? If not then it isn’t a convertible, it just doesn’t have a roof.
