I have both that knife and an 8 inch Shun. The Victorinox is a great knife but the Shun's thinner blade does help much of the time. Nothing beats the Victorinox bang for your buck though.

Holy cow that is a great price. I got a set as a wedding present from a friend and they are the absolute best money I never spent.

True, but generally those who run non-profits are in it less for the money than they are for a more altruistic reason (at least, I'd hope so). They'd probably be less likely to suddenly spring fees on their clients/customers/donors, no?

Not for profits aren't in business to make a profit... I mean, you're right, but that isn't really a great comparison.

Did they actually start losing customers? And honestly, what company would ever retract a money-making policy for any other reason?

I don't see how that's the case... Their stock has been climbing steadily since the initial announcement and such a fee, once the initial furor had died down, would only increase profits, which is good for shareholders.

I didn't say a voice is too much to expect, I said that they actually listened, which, if not laudable, at least is not deplorable (as the article seems to be implying).

I know that they're kind of evil, but I think you guys put this in an unnecessarily negative light. Any other company listening to it's customer base would be applauded for doing so.

613, Maimonides actually wrote up a list, though not everyone agrees with all of it. But what else is new.

Yes.

Well if you absolutely have to crash land, might as well get the passengers where they were going :P

I think Lady Gaga would be the ultimate cameo in this movie.

I actually meant internal specs as opposed to size and weight. Personally, I find the iPhone's dimensions to be ok (haven't really used it much), but I like a bigger screen.

I always carry a knife (currently a folding credit card knife) for opening boxes and for use as a tool in general, but any time I help out someone struggling who needs one they look at me like I'm psychotic. At what point did the humble knife transition from "ubertool" to weapon of mass destruction?

What exactly is it that you're waiting to see? This phone looks pretty awesome all around even with the reduced specs from the rumors. The iPhone has never been about hardware and I think pretty soon Android hardware won't make so much of a difference either.

Ok, I guess I have to respect them for admitting that. Can't blame them for wanting to showcase their greatest success first.

Hm. Ok so it doesn't quite look like magic but it's most definitely a very cool feature to clean up some minor blur. From the way the crowd seemed to react in the video posted the other week I was under the impression that it was almost perfect.

I don't know a whole lot about Macs in general, but do you need to buy a different version of the latest OS based on which version you currently have?

Oh crap, I used Linux, that isn't a company name but an OS name. What to do!

Yeah marketing is dumb. Why don't they just say, "Microsoft operating system version 10.463.14.2?"
