Well yes and no. Kids don't start on those more advanced activities till later, and the extent to which we've neutered playgrounds has really reached a high. When I was a kid I loved climbing and swinging and jumping but all kids seem to be interested in nowadays is video games (anecdotal experience only).

Hm, CS5 takes only a few seconds for me, but I have it installed on a SSD.

I have a similar setup at home, but I live in a basement apartment so in general it is bearable.

Actually, my specific spot seems to be significantly warmer than the rest of the office. I'd look into getting a fan but I'm out in two weeks anyway.

Nope, but it seems that the area in which I'm sitting is warmer than the rest of the office :P

I guess it is all relative, but I'd quickly get uncomfortable even if 78 is relatively cool. My office right now is at 72 and I'm sweating.

True, I guess it depends on where you are. I bike home from work, so when I get home I'm usually too hot (no central air).

"nice cool 78º when you get home"

Heck yes. I'm just hoping they have a good selection of up to date law textbooks and all I'll need to carry will be my laptop and iPad.

I don't think his idea was to poke fun at the guy, I think he wanted to find out how intuitive certain things really are and found the perfect person on which to conduct his experiment.

I can't disagree with any of that.

I concede that my statement was a bit extreme. I meant to say simply that our lives aren't full of metal detectors.

Hm, you're right. Bad example.

I'm not saying this wouldn't work, I'm saying that there is value in people figuring things out for themselves, especially when they're made very obvious. It happens to be that the relatives who ask me for tech help all the time also wouldn't be bothered to follow an article (and I can't bring myself to even suggest

Sorry, I couldn't resist. An article like this just seems too much like pandering to people who aren't willing to try and figure out even the most basic things for themselves.

I read it, but I couldn't resist. An article like this just seems too much like pandering to people who aren't willing to try and figure out even the most basic things for themselves.

Great article? Can you write one up about how to surf on the internet? I have no idea how to get to it or how to surf on it!!!1!1!! Do I need to know how to surf on water or is it a different skill? Which button takes me to the internet? I've suspected it may be "Internet Explorer" but you don't explore the internet,

Well signing up for Google+ gives you basically unlimited Picasa Web storage; that is basically the same deal.

You first?

I can't imagine that that data would be useful for anything other than creating a fake set of face, eyes, and fingerprints. So I'd say that if it were hacked it would be by spies who would have a great reason for doing so.
