I can't help but applaud any and all efforts to make computers more like the ones in Star Trek. Some tasks are simply easier to carry out with natural language commands and it really is a shame that we aren't there yet.

Well to be honest, when I move out of my current place I plan on leaving most of my furniture there. Its all Ikea and though I love it, it isn't exactly built to last a lifetime.

They mean the potential for Kinect, not its current limited function (games). As a game controller it's gimmicky, but its combination of movement and sound controls give it the potential to be an amazing interface device.
