Wow, that's shocking coming from someone who's 'solidly on the left'. I won't ramble on here w/ all his accomplishments 'since the Corvair', but would highly recommend you check out the movie An Unreasonable Man. Great documentary about his life and accomplishments, with much insight from his detractors too.

What does he say that's foolish?

Thank you for posting this Michael! This really shows the spectrum of what you can do with this car. I truly believe the Lancer Evo X is bound to be a true classic car. Sure, there are plenty of great/scary builds of the Evo IX out there, maniacal speeds and ungodly HP #'s for a 4 cl., but these are mostly

I read that in the voice of Hans Moleman.

But the 4G Eclipse was a dramatic improvement over the 3G. Stock, the 4G is the fastest and best built Eclipse Mitsu ever made. The mistake was not taking the AWD Ralliart Concept into production. The V6 GT is still a heavy FF and, despite its performance, would never be the enthusiasts first choice or a press

I don't get it. Raph explains in the 1st comment the Mirage is comfortable running at redline all over town. The steering and handling sound just sharp enough to have fun with. Sounds like with real tires this car could be actual fun. What character is it missing for you? Did you drive it?

Ok, I'll bite. I'm certain I'm a fanboy, but would like to know if I'm also an idiot. We got a 2013 Outlander GT (wife's) back in December, traded in her wagon for it. What would you have recommended in instead for a family of 4 w/ dogs that skis, camps and has to drive Los Angeles's 3rd world battered roads daily?

You're correct. It's an Outlander in the US too. In the US the ASX is referred to as the Outlander Sport.

Oh, come on now, the Lancer Evo X in white is brilliant. Lots high contrast black trim makes it Stormtrooper-like in its stance.

Another excellent comment, congratulations once again pauljones! I bought my Mitsubishi Eclipse GT new in '06 and foolishly still treat it like its a DB9 everyday. This despite being the most hated car on the internet and of course, Jalopnik. Being the 'SE' version, it's now pretty rare, especially in Los Angeles. A

Agreed. There really isn't a car company worse at supporting the enthusiast community then Mitsubishi. Sure, they throw the Owner's Day thing once a year, fine, but they've done less than anyone at product development. I'm on my 3rd Mitsu and wife is on her 2nd. For a company that did so much, to what they're doing

I disagree. The 4G Eclipse is the fastest Eclipse ever made stock. It's easily the most reliable and has nice cargo for a coupe. It handles quite well on the track too, despite what Jalopnik says.

I'm just going to keep posting this until they make it. Or Jalopnik starts a letter writing/viral campaign...

Its 63%, but i see your point. With good summer tires that understeer is far more manageable than on black ice, geez...but there is a lot of torque getting to those front wheels.

Wait, what? What does the 4G not perform that it is intended to?

Well, half serious. the '2014' is wishful thinking on my part. Details per Jalopnik:

HAHA! Right there with you...first time in years I've actually been excited by a new car. But I'm also a Mitsu fanboy, so I know very well I shouldn't get too attached to this one, but it's not easy.

If Mitsubishi would just release the 2014 3000GT we wouldn't have these kinds of shenanigans!

That's a Lurcher, (like a long haired Whippet).

K&N states MAF sensor failure from their oil 'is both impossible and ridiculous', per their website. I've had good luck w/ them myself. No trouble and at least the psychological pleasure of 2-3HP gain w/ their drop in. Their CAI is not smog legal in CA.
