My standard garage door rails were modified to run the door UP further, cheap.

The jackshaft lifts for the doors are available off of Amazon, also cheap! The best part about those lifts are that they are extremely quiet and there’s no vibration. Mine is pretty much silent and it has a pin to lock the door on a

Don’t use their search to find the manuals - sadly on many models I’ve found you have to look at the damn pictures to find a 3rd pedal and a stick :(

Hehe, I put down 645 at the wheels on pump gas and a bit over 700 on E85 in a 996. It’s not some uncontrollable beast and the throttle isn’t binary. You can reach truly silly speeds quickly though! Most of what I’ve done on my car is equally applicable to a 500HP car though except I run a bit more boost. Fun cars for

996 are trending upwards BTW

Look hard at the 996 Turbo cars. More raw driving feel, same motor, same HP potential, and the egg BS that people bitch about is solved with a set of LED that don’t show yellow. Great community for the 996 turbo cars too, especially if you want to go racing!

$5 says the radiators had to come out and likely the A/C condenser too. Was the windshield replaced? Passenger side airbags can take them out on deployment. I’d be checking the glass. Most Porsche folks wold be wary of a car with accident history so if resale is ever a concern skip that one. :(

Depends on who does the PPI, the stories of things missed by dealers and 3rd parties are numerous!

Yes, the private pockets of people who drive asphalt trucks for instance...

Will you be using the Corvette suspension, differential, and transmission? Torque tube? VIN?

NOT pedantic, this is a huge point to remember. Mezger motors are strong as hell except for the rods, if someone wants power the Mezger is likely what they will want.

Anyone making it fast will swap off those turbos anyway, don’t spend the extra coin! The intercoolers are crap too and would be swapped so there’s no benefit there either. <shrug> X50 isn’t worth it if you are looking to go fast... Just know that to go REAL fast you’re going to be swapping in rods, they’re weak out of

996 is a more raw drive and the stupid comments about the lights can be solved by swapping in LED that don’t show yellow through the bezel. Interior is fine as well and IMO less cluttered. Where are you seeing 996 turbo for $30K Not with a clean title or reasonable miles you aren’t and if so snatch it up lol

Not a chance and 3 years ago you couldn’t find a clean decent 996 for that either lol

I’m told by a friend who lived there that in Japan many of the cars doing top end racing have tags on a sprung hinge such that at speed the tag would flip down. To receive a ticket they required a picture of both driver and tag in the frame. Also, police weren’t allowed to exceed a certain speed limit so getting out

Not the only ones doing this except that we aren’t actually getting new lanes for it they’re just taking over an existing highway. No seriously!

Must be nice, we have toll roads that were privately built and supposed to revert to public roads when paid off - but never did. We also have public roads that are about to go toll - and quite high at that. I begin to wonder what my taxes are actually used for...

A single LCD panel that looks like a “cover”. Done correctly you could even modify the displayed plate by only darkening parts of digits so say a 6 might become an 8.

In my area they’re about to make a major piece of highway a toll (using a tollpass of course) and folks who travel from furthest out will be hit

Any chance you’ve got E85 numbers? Those often tend to be higher than 100 octane :)

Nope, they both sucked and I voted for neither of them. I chose a 3rd party candidate hoping they would get enough votes to at least be noticed the next time around. Sorry, I don’t do the “least evil” bullshit - it’s how we ended up with two shitty candidates in the first place. I’d have happily voted Biden or Bernie.

Or perhaps we looked at the candidate put forth and said hell no? Hillary has trust and integrity issues and the DNC sleight of hand sure didn’t help.
