Go for it, you won’t find the bay covered in tons of water. Having repaired a wiring harness recently that had a covering, tape, and insulation on the wires with no visible damage that just corroded through there’s no way I would want to have a car of mine dunked in salt like that. The wire I had to repair was under a

IMO go in, the exp and money you lose is DZ stuff. My team has spent a bit of time in there and we’ve gone Rogue - triple Rogue actually. One of the three of us was able to wait out the timer but the rest not so much :) Overall no one shoots at you except NPC and you will see Rogue players a long ways off pretty

ROTFL, my Grandparents lived near the beach and it rusted EVERYTHING! Air conditioner units, cars, bicycles rusted away fast, aluminum corroded even when hard anodized, you name it and it suffered. I was told in no uncertain terms by my Grandfather to keep cars away from the beach and to NEVER drive on it. That you

You realize that’s salt water right? It will rust anything not coated properly and that much water is likely to get into the filter box, don’t check before starting and you’re liable to hydrolock the engine. While wiring may be water resistant it’s NOT waterproof - one need only look as far as any 4x4 forum to see the

Had much the same happen to me as well only NO horn! Car carrier full to the brim with cars blew through a red light in the left turn lane crossing left to right in front of me. I had been second car back at a light when it turned and the guy in front of me went through however I stalled the car and had to restart.

Partial drop isn’t that bad unless the 997 is significantly different than a 996. Full drop and removal? That’s a PITA because of the Pentosin and the damn coolant. Your first post made it sound as if that was what was required. Now, Caymen or Boxster? Those look to be NO fun at all but I’ve not had the opportunity to

Umm, I have one sitting in my garage and never have I seen someone (including myself) “drop the engine” to change plugs. Nor lower the engine for that matter. Coolant lines and oil lines don’t get disconnected either.

Check out the 996 Turbo cars, prices have flattened and they are pretty nice cars with a good community :)

You do NOT drop the engine to change plugs - where did you hear this crap?!

It’s not one junction but multiple. It can be done in the car via “pinning” but it’s way easier with the engine out. Welding or pinning the pipes solves it and thankfully not all cars suffer but..... If the engine is ever dropped for any reason have it done!

Blow the trans in the Nissan and find out what a good rebuild costs and you might rethink that. I wouldn’t want to blow a 6spd Porsche trans either (and am limiting the power on mine to be sure) but the GT-R trans can be eye watering to beef up.

Around 600WHP you have to watch the torque in the lower gears with the 996T motors as the rods will bend. Once rods and preferably studs are swapped you can got a good bit higher but if you’re headed to 1KWHP you will want liners and pistons. You might as well bump displacement to 3.8liters at that point and pickup

Right there with you, I’m waiting to see how the first year goes for new owners. If these things break with only a little more power I’m MUCH less interested. Same reason the GTR makes me wary, last thing I want is something that requires a $5K trans build to be reliable!

Been done, they run VERY well and steer\brake just fine. <shrug> Damn good swap if you ask me!

It had a turbo judging from the response as it came up on spool. Don’t think it was nitrous though as the motor tone never changed. Perhaps it blew on initial shot and it was WAY too big but one would hope he would sneak up on the tune and not go all in at once...

Bah, the engine blowing is just one threat. How about a wheel weight letting go? Seen them go through garage doors. Rock in the tire? Anything caught between tire and roller gets ejected at warp speed! I’ve seen dummies step on the roller too and get close to hurt. Being aligned with ANY of the rotating masses is an

Limited production? Okay, maybe the first year. But Ford is going to sell the heck out of these and folks like myself will wait for the next year so bugs are fixed and we an find out what the edges are of the drivetrain. If the drivetrain is really maxxed out at production power levels that’s going to suck. If the car

I own a 996 turbo, I want a Focus RS as my daily as it will replace a current car and an AWD snow car in one shot (I hope). Will it handle better than a 911, brake better, or accelerate better? I seriously doubt it but it’ll be under warranty and FUN to drive. It need not be the fastest thing on the street to be a ton

Suitcase nukes have been denied quite a bit. However there have been nuclear shells developed and one was actually tested. I think there might have been some portable rockets developed for use in Europe too but I’m fuzzy on that. While an 11inch artillery shell isn’t exactly tiny it does make you wonder if the denials
