No, my stock longblock with fuel, turbo, intercooler, exhaust, and electronic upgrades made 590RWHP on pump gas (1.2BAR) and 720RWHP on race gas for well over 2 years before it was hit and totaled. The same combo with nothing but a cam change would make over 800RWHP on pump - that was at 2BAR boost and a stock head

Wasn't standard on mine either, I optioned it and I'd be surprised if a press car wasn't full to the gills with options too.

GPS on the windshield? I guess that the VW NAV system is still just as crappy as the one I got on mine. No one I know with one of these uses it and they want over $400 to get me an updated DVD. Asshats.

KBB and NADA aren't the be all end all especially for cars that are collectible or are becoming collectible. when my heavily modified Supra turbo was destroyed the insurance company offered me $16K and wanted to take the wreck away. Nowhere in the United States was a stock Supra in decent condition anywhere near mine

Reason for the Supra is easy - it still looks like a damned nice new car even today and the motor can be boosted to the Moon. Mine made 720WHP on a stock longblock - fuel, turbo, intercooler, and ECU were the only changes other than clutch. Cams would put it over 800. THAT is why the car is still so expensive. Mine

This would work except for the 1Klbs of required added safety and emissions equipment which would turn it into something completely yucky :-(

I once sponsored a friend for a set of tires on his Z06 that he was racing. Cost was over a grand and he was able to use them maybe 2-3 races and then for some practice and that was it. They were really best for the first two races. A set of treaded tires like these would probably last an entire season if not more.

Cost....

Cinder blocks can take much more abuse?! You can pop them with a hammer pretty easily. Yes, they are strong in compression but not against impacts unless filled with concrete. Bricks themselves don't come apart, it's the mortar between that comes apart when the wall flexes. I'm not convinced cinder block would survive

My understanding is that brick is NOT what you want to be in. Brick can and will come apart and each of those bricks is now a missile and no fun to be hit in the head with. Poured concrete that's reinforced might work but it's much more expensive and likely not going to be as attractive. Personally I think digging a

People dyno cars for many reasons up to and including contests or to simply see if there's an issue with their car, of course bragging rights come into play. I wouldn't call running a car on a dyno, making changes to the ECU, and then testing or better yet making changes realtime on a load bearing dyno "dedicated

The cruise control is generally a separate computer and not the ECU controlling it, it's mostly a dumb servo and not anywhere near as sophisticated as the ECU. The switch(es) to disengage it are pretty simple and also not ECU connected, no I don't want someone monkeying with them! For that matter the CC computer

Would you really want a computer controlling the throttle in the case of a strap failure or other issue? I think I'd prefer my feet on pedals, especially since they're capable of using that brake thing! Many if not most cars out there being modified aren't going to be drive by wire anyway and those are the only ones

Never stand BEHIND a dyno, never stand in line with things like flywheels, never walk around it while it's running, watch that the tie downs don't burn on the exhaust - they will let go. Nitrous explosions, driveshaft failures, all sorts of things can happen....

I drove one of those for a month while watching it for a friend. Lots of power, lots of weight = wheel spin. Like when trying to turn on an early morning and cold tires from a stop - the ass end wants to come around and I wasn't getting on it! The car felt slower than my 911 with 200 less HP. It was a damn nice car

No way! It was a Govt. conspiracy! Structures cannot fall that way and my brother's friend's brother is an engineer and he swears to this fact. Give him a week and he and his buddies will make a video refuting it - watch and see! I bet DHS did it!

No it's not budget it's teachers being forced to "teach to the test" because heaven forbid some of the kids aren't up to snuff and the school or teacher gets dinged for kids not doing well. News flash people - not every kid is equal or even average and it might be YOUR kid! Stop yelling at the teachers for low grades

ALL of the pumps around me run 40 Cetane. I've never seen anything higher nor do I have access to any Biodiesel which also sucks. <sigh>

The DO have one! Multiple systems and they can be seen in the videos. The thing has been hit so many times they have placed a protecting girder in front of it....

I think slamming on the brakes is EXACTLY what's needed here! Would you prefer the car not see brake lights and slam into the truck as it's brought to a near instant halt by striking the bridge? Or maybe get struck by who knows what that gets torn off the top of the truck?
