I like seeing the comments from people who didn’t know this commercial existed. The obliteration of that mess was the system working as it should.

Pertinent takeaways:

Anytime someone’s cousin’s friend says anything, give some serious side eye.  If they tell you that their cousin’s friend’s balls swelled and his upcoming nuptials were cancelled because of it AND the cause of said swelled balls and cancelled nuptials were due to a vaccine, tell ‘em to fuck right off with that shit.

This is the chick who is married to and spawned a baby with a sex-offending felon.  This is a chick who, regardless of how talented she is (and I do like her work), did not help herself letting  people know how dumb she really is outside of her craft.  Dissing a Harvard educated broadcaster who was urging vaccination

Well I was told on Facebook (by my cousin who dated a Marine and he worked on top secret shit) that the swollen balls thing only happens to hard core Trump supporters. And the only cure known is injecting the shit that was running down Rudy’s face at that press conference

Because when I want accountability about a questionably produced show with “good” intentions, I want to hear from the co-host who used to work on “Dancing with the Stars” and not, say, the producers.

Lemme’ say this: Hough’s goofy racism is the least of the problems with The Activist.

Meanwhile in Kabul:

She is white, no, she didn’t, she never had black people around her because this shit...

She should also apologize for that lipstick color. That was another bad choice imo.

I mean, that was a comprehensive acknowledgement, and seems very sincere. I’d say that was one of the best (or maybe just the longest) acknowledgements I’ve seen a celebrity do in the face of massive backlash for an obviously bad choice.

Who dis Hough?

The good news about this race is that it shows that Democrats are still pretty fired up and ready to kick Trumper ass.

That shot of him standing in front of the imagery of slaves is remarkably powerful. Well done.

Republicans cost themselves this election by refusing to endorse a candidate and letting Larry Elder coopt the recall and drive their base to the right.

Praise AND criticism are key components of any artform.

Thanks for the grace there. Also, after an exceptionally strange year and a half, I think the “mixed feelings” takes might be par for the course. Collectively, we’re both longing for a simpler time when we could shamelessly enjoy the frivolity of events like the Met Gala and perpetually feeling some kind of way, at

“Let’s be gracious in defeat. We may have lost the battle, but we are going to win the war!” Added Elder: “We’ll drag this country kicking and screaming back into the dark ages if I have to put the chains on myself without any help!  Watch me shuck and jive!

Well, we should all be able capable of acknowledging more than one truth at once, and the existence of contradictions within the same space. We can also both enjoy something while holding space to critique/cringe at it.

I was thinking about how you just can’t depend on ANYONE these days, but I realize that most of us will have no problem continuing to love and respect the women who create things that speak to our hearts.
