why not just raise the fees that door dash charges and raise the pay of the employees? it doesn’t change the out of pocket for the customer, vast majority of drivers aim to deliver good service , and people don’t get guilted into tipping. I still don’t get it.

actually the rebate would have applied to the whole line of Ys and 3s. The eligibility was based on the lowest base price of each model. I personally think Tesla wants to move its cars upmarket, otherwise they could probably deploy a decontented 3 and Y that stayed below the threshold in order to keep the incentive…

There are MANY people just in the US that could easily swing $5M a year to live on a luxury yacht if they were given one. It’s the initial cost that a lot of people don’t/can’t plunk down. We poors can’t wrap our heads around the level of wealth that many Americans and others around the world live in.
Who would pay for the upkeep? it would be a better idea to part it out and sell it for scrap and buy/build an apartment building.
